A peaceful villa.
A peaceful and very comfortable villa in an ideal location. Some wonderful views and a lovely garden with almond trees and lemon and orange trees in the orchard. A well maintained and heated pool added to the enjoyment. The property manager is very helpful if needed. With no hesitation we have booked a return visit.

We loved staying at this house. It was located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Lagos yet was very close to the everything that Lagos has to offer - e.g., the marina, grocery stores, old town, restaurants, museums, the beach., etc. We spent 5 weeks there and loved everything.

Recommend for Family Holiday
The outdoor property of the villa is magnificent! Lawn area for kids’ play, orange and lemon orchard, pool that can be heated for an additional charge and lovely gardens. Inside was spacious for 4 adults and 2 children. The Villa was cool in February but made comfortable with new heaters. We were charged in advance an extra fee for electricity for a party of six using the Villa in the winter months. The downstairs bathrooms have been updated and are spacious and comfortable. The upper level bathroom and quaint kitchen have not yet been updated. Great views overlooking Lagos out to the sea from the upstairs terrace. The Property Manager was always responsive and informative and rectified issues quickly.

Nice villa albeit tired but with wonderful pool and setting.
Really enjoyed our week at the villa in Falfeira. The heated (at extra cost) pool is fabulous and the grounds are immaculate. The views are superb and the neighbourhood very quiet. Exceptionally convenient for access to Lagos. However the villa itself is rather tired (although presents well externally), with an 'old house' aroma not helped by the smell of drains in one of the bathrooms (we did report this to the managing agent but as we did not want tradesmen visiting we chose to put up with it). The kitchens need updating and they stand in contrast to the modernised bathrooms. Beds (only singles) were very comfortable. The windows and doors are ancient and difficult to operate and secure. We ran out of gas but this was rapidly attended to by the managing agent - top marks! There are no flywires. In summary, if you are looking for luxury then look elsewhere. However the villa does provide reasonable, albeit basic accommodation, very much ameliorated by the excellent location and the grounds and the pool. Indeed the property is really all about the superb swimming pool where we spent most of our time, as the weather during our stay in early October was fabulous.

Dear Guy, We are so pleased you had a lovely week at the villa and you enjoyed the newly landscaped garden and updates to the Pool. In answer to each of your points we really value your feedback. Firstly we have had the drains reviewed and fixed and this is the first time we have had this problem, so sorry for this inconvience. With regard to the beds, we find from many of our clients they want this flexiblity and often we have golfing trips that require this set up. We have looked into fly wires and due to the construction of the windows and doors this isn't possible at this time. Finally we like to make it affordable for families especially in the current climate and have had glowing reviews here this year, so sorry you felt this way. We are glad to hear the gas was resolved quickly by our fabulous local agents and glad you had a good time and we value your feedback. Kind regards Amy

A Super Family Hols
We loved everything about the villa. It was the perfect setting for our Canadian/English family holiday after being apart for so long. The garden is lovely and the lawn and pool provided many hours of fun and games for our multi-age group ranging in age from 5 to 80!

Wonderful week at a lovely villa. The villa is really well equipped and the setting is just so peaceful - it was impossible not to relax! We enjoyed the large pool and the bbq. The villa is spacious, very clean with modern bathrooms. Lagos centre is only 5 minutes by car (or taxi).

Home From Home pool, garden & BBQ highlights
We had a very relaxing time at the villa with our two teenage sons. Especially loved the pool and all it’s various areas where you can practically track the sun through the day, beautiful well maintained garden and BBQ/sheltered patio area. The owners have taken great care in leaving listings of recommended restaurants and activities of which Lagos has many. (We’d add the crazy golf at the back of the town walls for a bit of family fun-even teenagers). Some minor things we feel could be adjusted- Maybe too many notices about the place about security and recent thefts in the area - slightly spooked our sons who saw the notes. We were fortunate to have great sunny days - it was hot especially to sleep at night and full air con would have been nice, as well as mosquito nets to keep some very persistent ones out. Nearby Lagos is a very lovely town and area - we have retuned many times over the years. You need a car to get to Lagos and access the ‘wilder western beaches’. Everything we needed was available in the villa. We would love to come back,and thoroughly enjoyed our break.

A most enjoyable stay
The villa was spotlessly clean and had very well managed grounds. The pool was well maintained and cleaned twice during our fortnights stay. The villa is excellently located in a rural setting with splendid views of the ocean and countryside yet close to supermarkets and all the amenities of Lagos. Doreen provided very thorough and extensive information about restaurants, points of interest, places to visit and local information which was extremely useful to us. The villa was well equipped and we enjoyed picking oranges for our freshly squeezed juice in the morning a d lemons for our evening g+t . We would definitely like to return although as a party of 6 rather than 8 as we would not use the annex as an additional bedroom again. The fold up beds were low and uncomfortable and made the sitting room cramped for space.. Apart from that it was excellent.

Lovely villa with great views and utter silence, very relaxing. The heated pool was a bonus.
We were delighted to arrive after a long journey and were not disappointed. The villa was very clean and welcoming, the maid had put the heaters on so it was nice and warm inside as well as out. We explored the house and found everything needed for a great holiday. The pool looked fantastic and we quickly got ready for a swim which was lovely. We found a very good taxi firm which came to collect us every evening, so no need to worry about drinking and there was an ample supply of taxis to bring us back the fare being a very reasonable 5/6 euros. We followed the recommendations re restaurants in the owners local notes and found these very reliable without exception. We spent most of our time lounging around the pool at the villa but did venture out to beaches now and again and explored further afield towards the west coast. We were particularly fond of Ingrina and Salema on the way and the beaches up the west coast are all very stunning and almost undiscovered. The beach bars are all very good, but it's a shame they have all been made to conform to certain rules which has robbed them of their individual style. Nearer to home, we particularly like the restaurants at Porto de Mos, as you are right on the beach and can enjoy spectacular sunsets. It is worthwhile going inland through Portelas and up to Bensafrim then twirl around and go back through Barao St Juao and St Miguel, an unspoilt area of the Algarve unchanged by time. In short a great holiday with lots of variety .

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Casa do Miradouro in Falfeira, a small rural neighborhood on the outskirts of Lagos. The house is quite large, with great views out over the valley and down to the harbor & beaches east of Lagos. It is wonderfully quiet, and peaceful, and Lagos is almost deserted in late December. Weather here was great for the season-- low 60's (F) and mostly sunny for the entire 2 weeks we were there. The pool is heated (though for extra cost!), and works even in this off-season. The house itself is a bit odd in design, but well appointed. It has two very nicely refitted new full bathrooms with heated floors and towel bars, but the kitchen is a bit spartan, and the fireplace in the main living room does not work. The doors and windows are a bit old and need to be treated carefully, but they are secure and functional. If it is privacy and seclusion you are seeking, with a view and convenient access to everything in Lagos, this is your spot! if you seek something brand new and uber-luxurious, keep looking ;-)

Stunning views great outdoor space but villa tired
I loved the views and peaceful location and the pool is great however it is in need of a deep clean and updating. The curtains in my bedroom we so old they were stained darker at the position of opening from years of never being washed. The top of the head boards were caked in thick dust that had been there years. The bath mat looked like it had not been changed since the 80's and my sons bedding had holes in it. Some of the lamps didn't work in the lounge and the wires were all frayed. I'm by no means a clean freak I would have just expected a higher standard for the price. Wifi did not work and the management company told us to buy a dongle even though villa is advertised as having wifi, then we discovered by chance that the password in the visitors info is incorrect! If you want a quiet out of the way villa with fantastic outdoor space it's for you but don't expect luxury on the inside.

Oh dear me! I am so sorry you were not satisfied. I can assure that the curtains ARE WASHED every year without fail and I will prod the maid to dust the headboards more often. I understand that you did not wait to see the management representative who would have been able to sort out the WiFi for you , she would also have been able to replace duff lamp bulbs ( I do mention this specifically in my notes, pointing out that the maid is not there after dark and wouldn't notice such things). I will certainly get some new bath mats also and we are replacing the bed covers in the side bedroom. Once again apologies for our perceived failings.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit beheiztem Pool
Ein tolles Ferienhaus in dem es an nichts fehlt. Über die Ausstattung der Küche kann ich nicht viel sagen, da wir im Haus nur gefrühstückt haben, dafür ist alles vorhanden. Der Pool ist top und mit der Poolheizung zu jeder Zeit warm. Super Kommunikation und Information. Einfacher check in und check out.

Portugal 2024 winter escape
We both really enjoyed the beautiful Casa Miradouro at close distance from Lagos. The location is excellent. Supermarkets are at close distance. Numerous both 4 stars and cheap local restaurants are close by. Cleaning team were professionals and each question was answered promptly to full satisfaction. Heerlijk huis met zwembad
Prima week gehad in december. Extra betaald voor het zwembad om te verwarmen, maar dat was het zeker waard. Elke dag gebruik van gemaakt! Alleen een paar kleine verbeterpuntjes….. gasfornuis/oven is aan vernieuwing toe, stofzuiger werkt niet meer naar behoren en de koelkast sluit niet goed waardoor het stroomverbruik waarschijnlijk hoger is, zonde!

Villa with spacious garden&pool in beautiful setting at the countryside very close to Lagos and sea.
We had a great time together as a family in and around the villa. The garden has a lot of different places to chill and the pool is fantastic! Also great bbq! We loved the view during breakfast at the balcony that’s connected to the living upstairs. The bathrooms are very well renovated. Contact with owner in advance and during stay was very pleasant and helpful , we received a lot of information from her about the villa and tips for activities and restaurants in the Algarve. Also very accurate and kind local hosts. We really hope to return once again!

Prima verblijf
We hebben het uitstekend naar ons zin gehad. De villa is een ruime woning op een mooie locatie met een prachtig uitzicht. We vinden de tuin groot en mooi en de omgeving rustig en relaxt. Binnen is genoeg ruimte voor iedereen en over het geheel genomen vonden we de villa goed uitgerust. In de omgeving is genoeg te doen en te ondernemen. Voldoende informatie is aanwezig, hoewel niet alle ontvangen informatie volledig actueel was. Wij hebben de extra kamer gehuurd waar ook werd geslapen. Tip zou wel zijn een vast bed neer te zetten i.p.v. het uitklapbed dat niet echt comfortabel is. Ook zou het fijn zijn als de gaten in het terras op de 1e verdieping zouden worden opgevuld. Nu moet je opletten dat je je enkels niet verzwikt of met je stoelpoot weg zakt. Al met al hebben we het goed naar ons zin gehad en komen we misschien nog wel eens terug.

Ein schönes Haus in ruhiger Umgebung, nur 2 Autominuten von Lagos Zentrum entfernt
Das Haus liegt ca 1,5 Kilometer von Lagos Zentrum entfernt. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und die Ausgangslage von dem Haus war hervorragend geeignet um viele interessante Punkte zu besuchen. Die Innenausstattung des Hauses umfasst von Toaster bis Haarfön;) alles was man sich vorstellen kann. Es ist ein schönes Haus mit einem gepflegten Garten und natürlich sehr schönem Pool. In der oberen Etage befindet sich ein WC, die Küche und das Wohn/Esszimmer. Von dort kann man auf den umlaufenden Balkon (ist sehr schön groß und geht um die Hälfte des gesamten Hauses) den herrlichem Blick auf Lagos und d. Meer genießen. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Fantastische villa!
Wij hebben hier in februari ruim een maand doorgebracht met onze 3 kinderen. Het was heerlijk! We hebben geluk gehad met mooi weer. De tuin is heerlijk groot en heel mooi met amandelbomen en mooie begroeiing, het zwembad was verwarmd waardoor onze kinderen er elke dag veel plezier van hebben gehad. Het huis is netjes met sjieke badkamers. De locatie is perfect. Dichtbij alle voorzieningen en prachtige stranden op nog geen 10 minuten afstand. Echt een fantastische villa, we willen hier echt terug komen!

Overall very nice
The house and pool are very nice, although there were too many wasps that made the meal times a bit unpleasent. Another aspect, on a more visual side, is that most of the plants neer the pool are dried up and might need a little bit more attention from the gardener. Other than that we had the loveliest stay wich we will gladly recomend to our friends and family.

Ruhiger und entspannter Urlaub einfach traumhaft
Dieses nette Ferienhaus liegt ruhig ,sehr zentral zu Lagos und den herrlichen Stränden. Es hat einen schönen Pool und geräumige Zimmer sowie zwei Küchen. Im 1. Obergeschoss befindet sich eine Terrasse von dort hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer und die Sonnenuntergänge. Insgesamt eine gemütliche Villa hat und dort sehr gut gefallen 👍

It is a fantastic house!
The house is in great shape with a fantastic garden and pool. Very social areas with lots of both indoor and outdoor space. The view is amazing.
