The owner had good communication and was helpful when required. The property was clean and the beds were warm and comfortable, the kitchen was tiny and there was no vaccuum cleaner. Unfortunately the weather was extremely cold for the last 2 weeks of January and into February and the property is designed for warm weather, so it was impossible to heat the lounge area because any heat generated, using both gas and electrical heaters, went up the open stairwell to the roof. We had to employ heated throws to watch tv from a not too comfortable sofa. The house is north facing so would be more suited to a summer holiday. We didn't use the garden area with bar-b-q because of the weather. Nor the communal pool, so cannot comment except that it looked good but deserted.
The property is a few minutes walk from 2 British-style bar restaurants within the urbanisation but otherwise it's a 40 minute walk, partly over waste ground, to Quesada or 45 minutes to Los Motesinos (which we preferred as it was more Spanish, Quesada being more British/cosmopolitan)
So a car is a must. Someone we met said there was no bus service but we never verified this, and didn't see any local buses although there IS a bus stop in Quesada.
