Hello! We are CUBO'S HOLIDAY HOMES, specialising in holiday accommodations since 2005.



Discover Villa Esmeralda, a recently renovated accommodation located in the tranquil area of Las Chícharas, in Alhaurín el Grande. Here you will find the perfect balance between rural life and proximity to the city, as it is just 10 minutes from the centre and 25 minutes from the airport and Málaga.



The villa, designed for 6 people, has a spacious garden of 1300 square metres divided into terraces that offer different environments to enjoy. Children can play freely in a flat area without trees, while adults relax on the terrace with spectacular views of the Guadalhorce Valley and the Axarquía. Please note that this property does not allow more than one baby per booking (0-2 years old)



The chill-out area will only be available from 15 June to 15 September; in mid and low season, other outdoor furniture will be enabled.



The private swimming pool, with a kidney-shaped design, is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers to enjoy the sun with total comfort and safety, as it is completely enclosed to protect the little ones.



The interior of the house offers a living-dining room with a fireplace, direct access to the balcony-terrace and a fully equipped independent kitchen with crockery and small appliances to facilitate your stay.



The villa has three bedrooms:

Main bedroom with a double bed and private bathroom with bathtub.

Second bedroom with a double bed.

Third bedroom with two single beds.



Moreover, it features an interior bathroom with a shower and another exterior bathroom with a shower next to the swimming pool. The entire house is air-conditioned for your comfort throughout the year.



The fibre optic WIFI connection and a Smart TV will allow you to stay connected and enjoy your favourite applications during your stay.



No animals are permitted to maintain the tranquillity and cleanliness of the accommodation.

We loved our stay! Especially the garden and the pool are amazing. We loved the view of the pool and all the great plants and flowers. Contact with the host Andres was really great. He responds really quickly. Only thing is that the interior of the house is a bit outdated, the beds could use an upgrade. But overall: loved it!

We really enjoyed staying here. The garden and the view makes this place very special. The location is also great, if you want to go to Málaga cityrather go to the beach, it’s both not that far when you have a car. There are beautiful hiking trails in the area if you want to spend some time in the mountains. Besides that the host was very friendly and always available to answer any questions. Definitely recommend going here!

We had a fantastic stay at villa Esmeralda.The house was very clean and well maintained and has a nice pool, beautiful garden and a wonderful view.We enjoyed it very very much.And last but not least: a great host !!So if you want to stay in the neighbourhood of Malaga, do not hesitate but go for villa Esmeralda.You won't regret it!!

Wonderful villa and host

We had a fantastic stay at villa Esmeralda. The house was very clean and well maintained and has a nice pool, beautiful garden and a wonderful view. We enjoyed it very very much. And last but not least: a great host !! So if you want to stay in the neighbourhood of Malaga, do not hesitate but go for villa Esmeralda. You won't regret it!!

Wonderful house with a great outdoor area

The house is a beautiful villa with a magnificent pool area and a large garden. We had a lot of fun at the pool. The house is located in a quiet location. Andres is a great host. He was always there to help and advise us and was a great help. The check in and check out including deposit went smoothly.

Andres (owner) was great, excellent communication and just a really decent guy. Villa was beautiful and so quiet. We didn't bother hiring a car and instead relied on taxi's when we wanted to venture out, but mostly we wanted to relax within the villa. Villa was great and spacious which was just what we wanted as we took the grandparents along. We didn't feel like we were on top of each other at all. So much space outside. Love that the pool is gated as was very handy with a 2 year old.

Couldn’t ask for anything better

The garden and pool are outstanding. The best we’ve ever seen. The house is wonderful and clean. Andres was wonderful and so communicative and helpful. Stock the kitchen a little more with things like a sieve, grater, more chopping boards, Tupperware etc. It would have been perfect if the pool was heated but understand that’s expensive

Excellent holiday stay

Excellent holiday stay. Andres met us at the villa and explained everything to us really well. He was always contactable for any questions during our stay. The villa was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. The private pool was lovely and also well kept. The pool is gated so very safe for little ones. The gardens are beautiful as are the views. I would suggest a car for your stay as the villa is a short distance away from the main town Alhaurín el Grande. The town is great with plenty of choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Apparently walkable but we didn’t try as we had a two year old with us. I would definitely recommend and we will certainly book again in the future.

Fantastic villa

Everything from start to finish was superb. Andres, the owner, was easy to speak to, organised, and accomodating. We found the area to be peaceful with lovely views and close enough to the airport to make driving easy. There was a good selection of local restuarants and bars, without it being too busy and they were a good price. The Villa was really nice. The outside area, pool and gardens were really well maintained and kept very clean. Our family loved spending all day in the pool, and the air conditioning in the villa was a nice break for our baby every so often. The villa had everything you could hope for and we intend on returnig for sure. Thanks, Andrew

Wonderful, relaxing holiday

Five of us stayed for one week. The villa is located in an area with other villas, you don't notice the neighbours as the villa is private but you are not in the middle of nowhere. Short drive to a large mercadona supermarket. The town of Alhaurin el Grande is bustling and has plenty of shops, restaurants etc. The garden is beautiful well maintained, pretty and large with enough space to find your own little private space. The pool was just the right size for a dip/short swim and the villa has everything you need. Andres is the owner who communicated with us before we arrived and also met us at the villa - he is lovely friendly, accommodating and efficient in replying to messages - thank you!!. We gave him 500 euros deposit cash on arrival, he signed a receipt for payment and arranged to give us back the cash before we left the villa once it had been checked over. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

We loved Villa Esmeralda

Villa Esmeralda was absolutely stunning and superbly presented. Everything was clean, easy to access and explained by the host upon arrival (he even got the travel cot out super quickly as he hadn't been informed of our request, but it was no hassle at all for him). The host was very friendly and communicated easily via WhatsApp if we needed him! We stayed during mid July when it was super hot, the AC in every room was perfect and worked flawlessly, essential when it's nearly 35+ deg C each day with kids. The villa was suitable for us with a 1 year old and 4 year old, the gated pool an absolute bonus. The garden was stunning too and offered loads of entertainment for the littles ones. The living area was lovely and comfy and kitchen well equipped. In the evenings we could sit outside, with loads of seating options, we enjoyed sitting around the pool with our feet up! It was quiet and very private! Access up the property is easy, a hire car is essential, and we visited loads of places in under an hours drive including Aquamijas water park (excellent for little ones as well as old ones), Mijas Pueblo, Pueblo Banus and Selwo Aventura. We loved Alhaurin el Grande too, plenty of street parking if you want to go to a coffee shop or for ice cream (heladaria El Mori). Plenty of supermarkets too, the best one for variety is Mercadona with an indoor carpark (very tight though!) Overall we loved our stay, our children loved it, The only issue we had was upon arrival, Cubos hasn't passed the message on to the host that we needed a cot and highchair, so that wasn't set up when we arrived, so he had to rush to get that set up for us. Also Cubos told me that I'd need to bring our own cot sheet and gave me dimensions, which was wrong as we didn't need to bring a cot sheet, and the dimensions were wrong for the cot provided. So really just the communication from Cubos needs improving.

Villa has beautiful pool and surrounding gardens, loads of internal space, but you must hire a car as there is nothing in walking distance and villa is situated at top of a steep hill with an old single lane road with no walking path and everything must be reached by taxicar, the villa could be doing with a few baking trays only a grill pan for use, Andres the property manager is first class and very helpful if you require anything, this is my sixth villa visit and probably best one outside but a little lower down the rating for inside the villa, could be doing with new mattresses and more kitchen essentials, overall still an nice villa to visit
