2/10 Terrible

"This is a huge hotel but not completely updated and they tried to charge us for parking at a rate of $10 dollars a day but they clearly had a sign that said parking was a courtesy to the guest of the hotel. Would like to know who was just pocketing the fees to park. Other guests were smoking Marijuana in their room across the hall from us with children in the room with them. Did let the woman know that was going on at the front desk several times. I don't think we can honestly recommend this hotel to anyone! Yes the employees were friendly!"

"The building is not well maintained. They still have the original single pane windows that open, which seems like a tremendous safety hazard not to mention they make it really hot. Our window on the 12th floor was broken and “fixed” with tape. The first room had a broken a/c so we got a new room with a broken window and stained carpet. The whole building smells musty, moldy and gross. Tons of dings and scratches all over walls and even ceilings???? How does that happen? I called the number to the restaurant and was transferred FOUR times before someone would take my order. Anyhow, food was decent and staff was nice but the facility itself needs better upkeep."

"I booked this place as a staycation because we were seeing the Queens of R&B @ the Toyota Center and I wanted a room with a balcony. This place was one of the only suitable options available. If you are looking for a posh/luxury aesthetic and have the funds for a la carte, this place is for you. It's beautiful,clean, well maintained, and their staff is helpful and friendly. It's just not for people on a budget. No option to self park. Valet is 60+ per night. $202 was the valet total for 2 nights. NOTHING is complimentary. Everything is a la carte. Luxurious and beautiful but not budget friendly AT ALL. Plus to my disappointment the pool closed at 7pm on Friday night. The king bed was pretty hard too,lol. This will be our first and last time staying. So like someone wise once said a time or two, "If you ain't got no money take your BROKE A$$ HOME!""
