"Our stay at Casa de Casal de Loivos exceeded our expectations. The Douro Valley views are breathtaking, especially from the terrace right outside our door while enjoying a glass of Portuguese wine.
We enjoyed delicious, authentic Portuguese dinners both evenings, served family-style around a communal table with eight other guests. Sharing wonderful food, wine, and conversation with travellers from around the world made for a truly memorable dining experience. Bernardo and Paulo’s excellent wine and port recommendations made the evenings even more special.
We arrived in Pinhão by train and easily caught a taxi from the stand directly outside the station to the property.
Our room was bright, spotless, and comfortable. We also enjoyed walking through the vineyard, sampling grapes left after the harvest, and having a picnic beneath the olive trees.
The exceptional hospitality truly made our stay special. Bernardo, Paulo, and the entire team provided warm, attentive, five-star service. Their genuine passion for creating a memorable guest experience shines through in every detail. We cannot recommend this beautiful property highly enough!"
