I spent months looking at listings on HomeAway before deciding on this one. We were not disappointed. The host, Michael, is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, and speaks English perfectly. This is a truly amazing house in a beautiful location. I wish I could upload the picture I took from a hike up the road; it looks for all the world like a painting. But the house is not just beautiful (and beautifully decorated inside), it is also comfortable, clean and functional. It has a new kitchen with a lovely induction cooktop and a modern bathroom that opens onto a deck. The deck turned out to be our favorite spot, as the house is positioned so that there is sunshine on the deck from around 10AM until sunset. The sunsets here are spectacular! At night, there is a perfect view of the stars. We chose this location because it is halfway between Vienna and Salzburg, being a short drive from the A1 but far enough away from everything that it is pleasant and quiet at all times. The upstairs room is tricked out with an entertainment system with great sound and a large screen for watching movies. The beds are comfortable; I slept like a child. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Micheal, for letting us stay -- we have now wonderful memories and are sad that vacation is over!

Wer Entspannung sucht, ist hier richtig
Das Haus ist ein Traum, schön groß und man hat alles was man braucht. Der Vermieter ist super nett und hat von Anfang an immer sehr schnell auf jede Frage geantwortet. Wir waren sehr früh vor Ort und waren froh, dass wir früher ins Haus konnten. Im Haus war alles sehr schön hergerichtet, die Betten waren bezogen und genug Handtücher lagen bereit. Vielen Dank auch für den Präsentkorb, darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Man fühlte sich richtig willkommen. Das Haus liegt am Hang zwischen Wiesen und Bäumen, es ist wirklich traumhaft ruhig dort. Dieses Ferienhaus ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wunderschöner Urlaub in einem traumhaften Haus
Ein selten zu findendes Objekt. Hier trifft die Vergangenheit auf die Moderne. In jeder Ecke des Hauses kann man gelebte Geschichte entdecken. Vieles wurde erneuert bzw. modernisiert ohne den Charme des Hauses außer Acht zu lassen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet genügend Platz. Für Regentage kann eine sehr schöne Sauna genutzt werden. WLAN ist vorhanden und sogar Dienste wie Netflix und AmazonPrime werden angeboten. Durch die besondere Lage des Hauses kommen gerade Ruhesuchende auf Ihre Kosten. Vom Haus aus kann man mehrere schöne Wanderungen starten. Besonders möchten wir den sehr freundlichen Umgang mit dem Gastgeber hervorheben und uns noch einmal bedanken. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang bis Ende wohl.

A wonderfull holiday house
We had a great week at Waldjuwel. Having breakfast in the garden when being visited by a few cows from the neighbour farm. We made a few hikes in the surroundings with beautifull views on the higher mountains. The house had a nice cool temperature during the day. A great kitchen for cooking diner with al the equipment you need. Overall a great place to stay.

Sehr schöner Urlaub
Wir waren mit Freunden insgesamt 4 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder, 2 Hunde. Das Haus ist super schön, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Schlafzimmer ebenfalls sauber und ordentlich, sodass man sich gerne zu. schlafen gelegt hat. Sauna, schöne Dusche und die insgesamt 3 Bäder waren auch super angenehm. Niemand musste warten und da wir auch ein paar Regentage dabei hatten nutzten wir auch die Sauna. Das war echt wunderbar. Wir waren dort oben komplett alleine, konnten uns daher super erholen. Der Check in verlief freundlich nett und wir konnten sogar etwas früher anreisen. Danke dafür. Wir haben wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Liebe Grüße

Ruhe in einer landschaftlich reizvollen Umgebung - aber geeignet als Basis für schöne Ausflüge
Mit seiner Lage und Einrichtung lädt das Objekt zu einem Genießerurlaub ein. Es ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und verbindet moderne Technik in Küche, Wohnzimmer und Sauna mit der Einrichtung eines alten Bauernhauses. Im Haus ist es sehr gemütlich; außerhalb stehen lauschige Plätze mit entsprechendem Mobilar zur Verfülgung. Wir (6 Personen) haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Das Objekt war auch Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung an die Donau (Schiffsausflug ab Melk) und nach Wien (knapp 140 km). Direkt hinter dem Haus führt ein Wanderweg hoch auf den Sonntagberg. Die Aussicht von dort ist atemberaubend und bietet einen Rundumblick über das Donau- oder Ybbstal oder auch in die Berge. Im Ort befiindet sich ein Lebensmittelgeschäft, das sehr gut sortiert ist und uns alles für die Versorgung geboten hat. Auch das Gasthaus mitten im Dorf ist zu empfehlen. Insgesamt geben wir für das Objekt, die Lage und der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter Bestnoten. Lediglich die Anfahrt an das Objekt führt die letzten 200 bis 300 Meter über einen leicht steilen, nicht asphaltierten Waldweg, der für PKW mit wenig Bodenfreiheit problematisch sein könnte.
