"Water coming down from the ceiling in our bathroom and AC didn't work. There was no fix for the AC and they offered to switch us rooms but it was already late at night. No other compensation offered but eventually agreed to have parking fee reimbursed. Not worth the $400+ CAD price. "

"Excellent accessible room. Plenty of room for a wheelchair. Staff very helpful. Downside, hot buffet breakfast food was cold. Room tea, coffee and milk was not worth bothering about, only two plastic sachets of milk for a 5 day stay. Bar area no staff in attendence most of the time, but were very helpful when you did find them."

"Lovely hotel with great views if you go for a sea view. Which is a must. Breakfast ok. But never got any eggs as staff member never there and not in a tray to help yourself. There was an event on one night and we were asked to sit outside with our drinks. Was ok ish but started to get cool. Wouldn’t have been happy if it had been cool and we couldn’t have a drink"

"Hotel Nuevo Torreluz is a solid, no-frills base for a short stay in the city. Its central location is a real strength—just moments from Calle Jovellanos, with plenty of tapas bars, restaurants, and shops right on your doorstep. The beach is also within a manageable 15–20 minute walk, making it easy to explore both the old town and the coast. The hotel and room itself were perfectly adequate for a few nights—clean, comfortable enough, and functional if you’re mainly using it as a base rather than spending extended time inside. However, the biggest drawback was the WiFi. In my room (located at the corner of the building), the connection was extremely weak and unreliable. This made it difficult to do anything online without frustration. I often had to go down to the lobby or rely on mobile data just to get a stable connection. If you’re planning to work remotely, attend calls, or need consistent internet for business, this is a significant downside and something to ask reception when checking-in as I suspect it was due to room location. Overall, a well-located and serviceable hotel for short leisure stays."
