Enjoy the spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea from this magnificent property. Nestled in a unique residence, on the promontory of Punta de la Mona, in the village of La Herradura. It enjoys an incredible view of the sea, enjoyable from both inside and outside. This house has a spacious living room with a large furnished terrace where you can enjoy your meals or relax. On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms with sea view, each with its own balcony and bathroom. The house is ideal for families and couples, with a sofa bed in the living room that sleeps 5 in total. This property is one of the few houses in the residence, overlooking the residence's swimming pool, a quiet location with lush tropical gardens.

This exclusive development is perched on the more famous promontory of Punta de la Mona. To the west of the Punta is the village of La Herradura (see above) and to the east is the "Marina del Este". These last two places offer beaches, restaurants and bars. There are 3 golf courses within half an hour's drive and it is possible to ski in Sierra Nevada (1h30 drive) from December to April. A snorkeling school is located in the village.

Location: La Herradura (translated as 'The Horseshoe') perfectly describes the bay between the headland of Cerro Gordo and Punta de la Mona. The village of La Herradura has kept its Spanish character and unlike other high-rise buildings in the south of Spain, it has not been spoiled by tourism. You will find a selection of good traditional Spanish restaurants and bars, but those looking for nightlife will be disappointed! The village does however have a few supermarkets, banks, a newsagent, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a hairdresser and a market offering fresh produce every morning.

The Tropical Coast, where the property is located, offers more than 320 days of sunshine and an average annual temperature of 17° C. African winds, warm Mediterranean waters and the Sierra Nevada mountains create a subtropical microclimate unique in Europe. In addition, the fascinating marine life makes the place a privileged point for scuba diving in Spain.

We recommend a car: A car would be necessary to do your shopping in the village about 1 km away and to explore the area in general.

Fantastic apartment in a stunning location
Wow! I’ve been traveling across the coasts of Portugal and Spain for the past two months, but I didn’t want to leave this place in the Costa Tropical. The apartment feels like a real home, not a cookie-cutter rental. It’s modern and clean and you can tell that Cristina took care in furnishing it with nice fixtures, artwork and personal touches. The duplex is in a beautiful residential area where the units cascade down the hillside. The landscaping is incredible - you feel like you’re living in a garden. The view to the sea, rooftops below and towns down the coastline is gorgeous. You do have to access steep steps to go to and from the apartment and a car is a necessity (you’re within an hour’s drive to great locations like Granada, Malaga, Sierra Nevada mountains, etc.). The village of La Herradura is quaint and relatively quiet compared to the tourist towns in the Costa del Sol. And people here are much nicer! This is my new favorite vacation spot and I will definitely be staying at Cristina’s lovely casa again.

Fabulous duplex apartment with a view of paradise. Very comfortable with great outdoor space. Constant hot water. Good AC in living area and both bedrooms Exceptionally clean and well stocked for dining and cooking. Our home from home. Lively enclosed shared pool area but rarely used by others during our stay. Great communication with owner and agent. Thank you once again Cristina for letting us rent your wonderful holiday home. Looking forward to coming back.

Off the beaten track in a very quiet neighbourhood, if your idea of a perfect holiday setting is a seaview with a tranquil backdrop then this is the place for you. A gorgeously renovated apartment in a really lovely setting. Bit of a hike to Marina del Este and La Herradura but worth it for peace and quiet. Thanks for a great stay

From the moment we arrived at the front door we knew we had made the right decision booking this accommodation. The property is modern and in very good condition. Clearly well looked after. It was our home from home for four weeks and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. Great location overlooking the shared pool and fantastic sea and coast views. What you see in the photos is what you get. You will not be disappointed. Comfortable bed and great showers. The owner went the extra mile to provide us with access to our Netfli account for movie nights. The complex and pool is excellently maintained. We spent our days lazing on the balcony, by and in the pool and walks down to La Herrada (only 20 minutes and slightly longer in the return uphill) where we enjoyed many visits the various beach bars and restaurants. We have already booked our next stay.

What a view !
Stunning setting with gorgeous views Lovely clean modern apartment with all mod cons .Lots of little extra touches which were much appreciated .Really enjoyed our stay ..highly recommend....but not for those with mobility problems due to large amount of steps in surrounding area .
