"This is a castle on a hill! Real one. No plywood or 2x4s. Lots of history. Enormous rooms. Enormous bathroom. Phenomenal breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking is limited by the entrance, but plenty below the castle. One downside is that the bathroom is not in the rooms. "The property is accurately described and the apartment is furnished with everything that is needed for an extended stay. It is an easy walk down the hill to Ellmau from the apartment. The mountain views from the apartment are spectacular. The owner is very easy to communicate with and always responds in a timely fashion. Our stay was for three days and we hope to return again. "We stayed here 2 years ago and returned because we loved it so much. If you're looking for something quiet, in a beautiful little village that is close to Mayrhofen then look no further. We used the apartment as our base for skiing in the Zillertal Valley and all lifts were easy to get to in our hire car. There is a bus into Mayrhofen but we did not use it. The apartment is about 15 minutes drive from Mayrhofen, 25 minutes to the lifts at Zillertal Arena and Kaltenbach. The accommodation is...
