"Good clean room! Not much as far as amenities, no TVs but you spend most or your time outside on trails! "

"Great staff. Room exceptionally clean. Good size fridge, microwave like new. Room a/c worked great. My only 2 recommendations for this place is maybe get a waffle maker for breakfast as there is nothing hot. Yougurt, cereal, fruit, toast are your choices with hard-boiled eggs. And the size of the tv is way to small for Room. Beds were very comfortable. "

"We booked a stay of several nights at this hotel, knowing it was nice from having stayed there in the past. Neither Expedia nor Holiday Inn Express informed us that the hotel was under major renovation. We couldn't walk in the front door, the lobby was demolished, and the breakfast room had been removed to a makeshift meeting room. Staff members were difficult to find. There was continual hammering and loud sawing. We had to enter the hotel through a side door. All in all, it was a challenging stay, certainly not restful. My main complaint is that no one let us know in advance that the hotel would be like that, so that we could have made an informed decision about staying there. We certainly would not, had we known what it would be like."

"Overall, it was a very good stay. The room is advertised as Texas sized, and they are right. It’s a big room, bed was comfy. They give you liquid hand soap instead of that cheap hotel bar soap, so that was nice. Had a few issues….my tv remote didn’t work except to turn on the tv and adjust the volume, but I was out hiking all day and CNBC wasn’t that bad for an hour or so. Breakfast needs work. You have to heat up your own bacon, eggs, or sausage. At checkout, the person working the counter was a kid, probably in that 10-12 years old range. I’d stay there again if heading out that way"

"Had a wonderful time out at black cat ranch Bob was a wonderful host. The night views and peace and quiet are amazing. Plus waking up to the birds in the morning was like something out of a book."

"The only complaint I have was the hot tub was like warm but after a long day of hiking in the heat I was ok with that. Everything else was great!"
