"It is a beautiful property. No hot water at first but corrected quickly. BBQ restaurant was outstanding. The main restaurant for dinner was totally disappointing with the food not cooked as requested and fish special tasteless with undercooked vegetables along with it."

"I stayed 3 nights, room was cleaned every day. Great quiet spot to base out of if you are traveling around Alentejo. The town is very cute and there are lots of beaches in each town around the alqueva. It is worth driving around for a day to see all the small villages. There are some great food options around town as well. I did not eat breakfast here but they do have a Continental breakfast area."

"The property was lovely, spacious inside and out. The town of Portel was small and we found the locals to be inviting although it was obvious it is not a tourist town. We loved the entire experience of our stay!"
