Surrounded by beautiful lake views, you can enjoy fishing, swimming, or just taking in the great outdoors with a covered lanai complete with a relaxing hammock and lighted dining and BBQ area. A tire swing, volleyball net and acres of land are sure to give kids and pets plenty of room to play and fire pit for quiet evenings under the stars. Indoors, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen, perfect for whipping up delicious meals, and a smart TV with free WiFi to stream your favorite shows or movies. Unwind in the comfortable living room in front of the fireplace or take advantage of the on-site laundry facilities. Just a 29-minute drive away, you can explore the stunning Greeter Falls and Blue Hole, a must-visit destination as well as many other hiking trails on the Cumberland Plateau. I can never say enough good things about this place. It is the perfect place to recharge and relax. The lake is great, and the property is perfect for people and their doggos. I look forward to coming back again and again. Julie is a top notch host and very easy to communicate with.

The stay was just what was needed. The cabin was quiet and relaxing. It was one of the cleanness cabins we have stayed. The lake is beautiful and relaxing. The driveway to the cabin was wonderful to walk and relax. We enjoyed our stay.

This was one of our best stays ever. Perfect little cabin in an ideal setting if you want peace and quiet. Close to hiking. I could have stayed forever. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful, peaceful cabin

We stayed here for a weekend for our anniversary and this place is amazing! Perfect to get away from everyday life and just enjoy nature and good company. This place is very secluded, right by the water, nice fire pit, covered . It had everything we needed and we felt right at home. We will definitely be coming back to the banko bungalow

Perfect little retreat!!

This property was amazing!! If you need a break from life and just want peace and quiet this is the location for you! Cabin was very clean and had all the things needed for the stay and was very happy it was pet friendly!! Couldn’t have asked for a better place.

Beautiful property

We absolutely loved it here! Very private, peaceful, and had everything we needed. It’s a little piece of heaven! We also asked if we could stay later on Sunday, owner replied right away and we were able to enjoy the sun for a few hours longer!

Getaway

We wanted a quite, secluded getaway and this was exactly what we wanted. The cabin is nice and clean, kitchen has everything you need to cook and prepare food. The lake is beautiful and clean, sitting at the fire pit was so relaxing, we will definitely be going back in the future.

Beautiful property

Gorgeous and very private setting on a little lake in rural Tennessee. The cabin itself was clean, except for the loads of dead ladybug bodies all over the floor, kitchen counters, and table. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was very well-equipped, and host responded quickly when contacted about issue with water heater. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Cabin in heaven

This was the most peaceful, beautiful, and quiet setting I have ever been to! The lake was really nice. The water was so clear. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. This was one of my top vacations all because of the wonderful stay at banjo bungalow. The owner was very quick to answer my text. We will definitely stay there again.

Won’t be my last time!

I have ABSOLUTELY fallen head over heels in love with this place. Well worth the 12 hour drive and braving Nashville to come here. I am an introvert, so I stay here by myself with my dog and it is THE PERFECT spot to recharge. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. I cannot wait to come back ASAP!!!!

We stayed across the water in a Julie’s bigger home. This one fit us perfectly. We were allowed to bring our dogs and they enjoyed it all the space was great. Husband love takeout the most to finish. The deer were everywhere. We love the outdoors so it’s perfect as I said for us.

Peaceful home base

The Banjo Bungalow was a peaceful home base for a bluegrass festival at The Caverns. It was a 45-minute drive each way but the setting was worth it. The cabin had all we needed and was clean — just could use a little updating. The front porch was a perfect spot for my husband to play banjo. Hope to return when we have time to enjoy other amenities.

Amazing stay!

Banjo bungalow was a wonderful little slice of heaven on earth. The home had many new renovations including paint and landscaping that we were not expecting. You can definitely tell that care is put into this home to assure visitors having a great space. We knew we wanted a weekend to get aways from the busy hustle and bustle of life while still having lots to do. Banjo offered that perfectly with fishing, volleyball, fire pit, grilling, and more all while feeling like you were on your own island. I would highly recommend choosing the Banjo Bungalow for your next trip and we will definitely be returning.

Nice quiet cozy cabin

I recently enjoyed staying at a beautiful cabin for a weekend getaway. The location was serene and peaceful, surrounded by nature and wildlife. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies, and the living room had a lovely fireplace that kept us warm during the chilly nights. The beds were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The highlight of the cabin was the firepit that overlooked a pond. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable retreat in nature.

Peaceful getaway

My kids and I had an amazing memory filled time here. We really enjoyed the lake and the available boat to use was so much fun for us to use. We also enjoyed all the options of things to do such as badminton, volleyball, lots of open spaces to throw a frisbee etc. The hammock provided a cozy spot to relax and the kids loved playing the ring toss game. At night the fire pit provided a wonderful s'mores experience. We saw a small herd of deer across the lake, found some toads, frogs and saw a baby ringsnake! Some people like to go where there are large groups of people for a getaway whereas we like to be able to be left to ourselves and this was the perfect spot we are looking forward to visiting again.

Why don't I LIVE HERE??????

This was everything I could have hoped. I stayed with my new puppy, and it was HEAVEN! Secluded, clean, safe, lake, hammock, porch swing......Heaven! The host was responsive to all my questions. Prior reviews mention it's great for groups, but, if you could use some quiet, private downtime, this is also perfect. As an aside, I have verizon for my cell phone and I could text without problem. If you NEED to talk on the phone, it's also possible but more spotty. Internet was very fast.

Excellence prevails

We experienced a rare few days in August when we could open the windows and let the breeze blow through the cabin. It appeared that we had the whole lake to ourselves. We never left the property, we never saw another human being, we never heard a car, plane, mower. We were able disconnect from our busy lives and enjoy nature. We enjoyed the hover flies on the porch once we discovered they weren’t sweat bees and will not sting or bite. Julie was very responsive. We appreciate her kindness.

Relaxing Banjo Bugalo

We lived this adorable little cabin. Tons of privacy and space. Nice little spring fed lake. We enjoyed the little boat, the fir put, fishing, cooking, the moon and stars at night, all of nature with its wonderful sounds, and spending time together. We took a 4-wheeler and had fun exploring our surroundings. There is plenty of shady areas for an afternoon siesta and plenty of sun if you are looking for some rays. WiFi was great in the cabin and on front porch only for me, which was fine since we wanted to be off the grid. We had no issues with mosquitoes or gnats. We loved the hummingbird that came to the front porch and hives right in front of or beside you for a few seconds in the morning and early evenings. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation at the Banjo Bungalow. We will return for another vacay in the future.

Beautiful property

The property was amazing! Very secluded and serene! The cabin is just that, a cabin. There is no indoor heating, just space heaters and a gas fireplace without ventilation. The first night we got there late and it was freezing. After texting with Julie I was told there is not a heater but to use the space heaters and fireplace. The space heaters would have taken long so we used the fireplace but the fumes were so bad we ended up getting sick and leaving a day early. Also the cabin was pretty dirty: cobwebs, dead bugs inside the cupboards, dirty dishes put away. The bed and couch are a bit rough too. If you are looking to go to a place and mostly be outdoors, this place is sufficient! I would only suggest it during the cold season
