"The hosts Mark and Lerryn are great hosts. Very attentive. Casa Lerryn is a lovely place to spend a relaxing week. The most noise we could hear are the crickets chirping in the evening. "The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. "What an amazing property! Outdoor space with pool, BBQ, dining table and sun loungers was used frequently. All bedrooms were a good size. View from the upper terrace was breathtaking. The walk to Luz beach gave us our daily exercise. Be prepared to purchase all paper products(toilet paper, paper towel, facial tissues) and meal preparation necessities ( even salt and pepper) No welcome package like the many places we have stayed at so we needed to hustle out to get provisions for our morning...

"My friend and I were staying here on a trip viewing property to buy in the area. The nicest house we saw on the trip was the one we were staying in! It is every bit as good as it seems in the photos - especially the garden area. A great place to soak up the Portuguese sunshine. Jose, the owner was there to greet us and was very helpful. Although one probably does need a car to stay here although we did walk to Penela one day - 3.2 miles. - perfectly do-able."

"Patrick's house was the perfect meeting place for our international friends reunion. We loved the location of the house and how close it is to town. The minute you enter the home you are immersed into the Portuguese culture. The house was well stocked with anything you would need. The beds comfortable, many fabulous gathering places throughout the property. We loved the fruit trees and the swimming pool. This is now our go to house and hope to be back next year!"
