"Stunning location, very quiet and well maintained room. I enjoyed calling it our home, each night after Mardi Gras celebration. It was as if we were the only guests, that’s how peaceful it was. Lacking the 5th star due to minor inconvenience such as being told we wouldn’t have a working shower potentially for 2 days. Thank goodness this ended up not being true- unsure what discrepancy happened. Also we had no soap. Without staff being present, I just used shampoo until I bought a bar."

"The historic aspect of the house, and the beauty of the building and furnishings, really stood out. I loved getting to talk to David Villarrubia, the owner, who served the breakfast. I also enjoyed the free tour, given by Edgar Degas' grand niece."

"Everyone in New Orleans is nice The house is a "shotgun" so the living room is first followed by walk thru bedrooms X 2 then the kitchen and baths. My party had no issues with this but if someone is very shy they may take offense. There is a great diner on the corner run by the lovely Fatma, Fabulous coffee. My only suggestion is to add a hook or two in the smaller bathroom. I would definitely recommend this property"
