"Beautiful place and people. Frederic is a wonderful host. He allowed early check in and attended to all of our needs. There are stairs to the bedrooms, he carried our luggage up and down. The property vastly exceeds the description and certainty our expectations. There are many châteaux and wineries. Frederic helped us with our itinerary. We would very much love to return."

"Very good, clean, well equipped, quiet. Nice area with easy access to lots of chateaux etc. only suggestion is for better/more indoor seating there is only the sofa, fine for 2 but limited fir 4 people."

"A real wow location, in a characterful old water mill. A wonderful piece of France, with plenty too see, eat and drink within an easy drive along pot-hole free roads. The Domaine de Cande was especially interesting, the location of the Traitor King's (Edward VIII) marriage to Mrs Simpson by a corrupt clergyman in 1937."

"We arrived very late as our flight was delayed and then we were stuck in Paris traffic. Lawrence was very kind to keep a parking spot for us next to the rental apartment so it would be easier for us to unload our luggage. When we asked him if there are any supermarkets open to buy some food for late dinner Lawrence said that supermarket was already closed then, to our surprise, he brought us some food from his house so we could have dinner! "We had an excellent stay at Ballan-Miré. The house is really nice and well furnished, including towels and tea towels, BBQ, outside seating etc. The beds were done on arrival which is really appreciated. The house was clean and a good size, with two large bathrooms. The garden is big and really nice and sunny. WiFi is working well. There is a large supermarket 5 min drive away. No shops at walking distance. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and discreet. Overall a very positive experience! "

"We have all had an amazing time at this property. Stephanie was fantastic with communication in the run up to our trip, and once we arrived we couldn't have had a better time. The location was ideal and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and spend time together. I miss it already!"
