"The 100 year old hotel is in very good shape. Our room was clean and quiet. The hotel is right at Staunton's downtown for shopping and dining. The hotel breakfast was okay, but not outstanding. The staff was courteous and helpful. The free parking garage was adjacent and easy to use. "

"The room was clean, and the AC/heat worked. The shower had plenty of hot water & pressure, but the tub and sink did not drain well. Bathroom needs a do-over. Breakfast was terrible. The toaster had no return tray or mechanism, so the toast fell on the counter at the back. No eggs, no tea, food stale, sausage gray from days before."

"Property appears to be quite new, very good condition. Breakfast was adequate, did the job, typical business hotel buffet. Overall, a great spot to stay of your looking for a place to break up a long journey."

"Breakfast was hot and fresh items, good juice options. Waffle machine with regular and cinnamon batter to make your own. sausage links and patties. Scramble eggs. White and wheat bread slices, bagels, danish and English muffins. 3 types of cereal, raison bran, cherios and colorerd cherios, skim and 2 % milk, banana and apples. peanut butter and jelly and butter packs. 24 hour coffee machine, sugar and other alternatives, hot cocoa packs, hazel nut and French van creamer, half and half."

"This is a very unique and beautiful place. Everything has atmosphere. I'll be back."

"The hotel room was swarming with giant fruit flies. They were sticking to the ceiling and swarming all over the place. We called the Front Desk clerk, and he immediately switched us to another room which also had swarms of fruit flies. He was very nice and apologized. He did move us to another room on the opposite side that only had a few flies. We killed several of them as soon as we went in, but we were so tired that We decided to call it a day. The room was not super clean. It had a very funky smell to it. The remote was sticky and I had to go get bacterial wipes from the car to wipe it down. Then the TV didn’t work. Again, the Front Desk clerk was nice and came right over and replaced the batteries in the remote - so he did try. I’m sure he did the best he could, but I feel like a discount should’ve been offered. We had three bad experiences in a row within 20 minutes. I didn’t ask for a discount. I am being honest. I would never stay there again."
