"This is an amazing property for those who enjoy being outdoors and enjoying nature. The grounds are huge and there are many areas to quietly relax without feeling you are in a crowd. The staff are very attentive and go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and all your questions are answered. It was excellent value for the price we paid compared with other Norwegian hotels. Definitely I would return here or recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing hotel "

"Perfect stay. Very friendly staff, helpful with recommendations of things to do. Hotel very clean, modern and comfortable. Could not fault anything. Amazing views over river and town centre. Included buffet breakfast was amazing, best we've seen, for quality and quantity. Salmon & herring, to bacon eggs, to cold meats and cheeses of all descriptions. Huge varieties of teas and coffees, freshly squeezed juices, yogurts and danish pastries. Finally it's centrally located, next to train station close to new bridge to cross river. No noise at all heard from trains, perfect sound insulation. "

"All the food is of excellent quality. The breakfast buffet is vast and varied. The bed was very comfortable. I will be staying there again in a couple of weeks before flying out of Oslo."

"it's a very tired house with no real refurbishment in the last 20 years. I suppose that its condition reflects the price but still there should be a minimum of confort. The door is locked by a padlock, no bedtime lights, no power by the desk, the fridge cannot be connected because the socket is different, you can hear the neighbours through the ventialtion system, no soap and shampoo in the bathroom - just a hands liquid soap. "
