Fun Time

Plenty of space for 15 of us. The place had everything we needed for a fun trip, with enough to do for all age groups, including hiking, fishing, corn hole, or just sitting!

Relaxing Weekend Family Birthday

This is a rustic and welcoming place. Lots of patina. The game room is spacious and house is functional. Farm animals were fun for kids to look at and feed. Would recommend for large groups.

Grandpa & Grandma Camp 2024

The size and location were perfect for our camp of 4 adults and 18 grandchildren ages 5-17. The kids loved fishing and all the outside activities from soccer to hiking. The event building was so nice to use four meals and inside activities, for when the weather kept us inside. We loved our time together and the space and bringing the dogs was a huge plus.

Sunnyside

This big house and great location was perfect for our family. There are so many nice touches. Farm fresh eggs in the fridge, lots of floor space and the fire pit are just a few. The farm animals and barn cats delighted our granddaughters . Carroll County is a lovely place. We had a great long weekend and hope to return next year.

Perfect group retreat

Reserved this for a group of writers to escape from the demands of normal life and have focused time for writing. This was a great place. The rooms were much larger than the pictures appeared. There was more than enough room for everyone. And the host was very welcoming. She even brought me boots so that I could enjoy the trails! Highly recommend. The group is suggesting we boo for next year again already.

Country Perfection

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat for your family then this is THE place for you. I've been all over the country for work and for pleasure and I can't recommend this stay more. Have you ever stayed in a place that you could see yourself purchasing and spending the rest of your life in? Probably not. But you will here.....

Lovely friend reunion at the farm house

My family and 4 other families who haven’t seen each other in years got together for a weekend at the farm house. There were 9 adults and 8 kids ranging from 2 to 6, and we had a blast. We really appreciated the beautiful scenery, the spaciousness of the house and the property, the animals, the fire pit, the room with the ping pong table, and how we didn’t have to worry too much about the kids because they had space to spread out and not a lot of traffic around. I was also glad to find a hand mixer, casserole dishes, and other kitchen utensils. Many of the families appreciated how the rooms upstairs had their own bathrooms, and there were many beds and bed options. I would definitely recommend for large groups, and the only thing I would have wanted that wasn’t there was some water to swim in!

Love staying at the Amsterdam farmhouse.

We love this property (our 2nd year). Because have a 3 and 1,year old, the property was perfect. Owner stopped by and mowed a lot between rain drops.

Relaxing Country Stay

We stayed at Sunnyside with extended family. Martha was easy to work with - responsive to our questions before coming and quick to care for the little needs that came up while we were there. The location is gorgeous! Our family enjoyed fishing in the pond, hiking, volleyball and bonfires. The only suggestion I would have is for there to be more seating in the dining room so that we could all be together for meals, but it worked out fine using the dining room and kitchen separately.

Oasis

Nine Cleveland friends gathered for a weekend away. Cleveland is beautiful, but Sunnyside is a different kind of beautiful. Fresh apples and raspberries outside the door; cows, goats, and chickens running to welcome us; coyotes singing from the hills, trout leaping onto the hook! And, throughout, Martha was a wonderful, welcoming host. Thank you, and see you again soon!

Nice family vacation

The house is very spacious and the owners are very friendly. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room table for meals together and many card and board games. We frequently used the outdoor grill. We really enjoyed the use of the event center. You can open the 3 garage doors to get the feeling of being outdoors while escaping heat from direct sunlight. We played lots of ping pong and corn hole there. The pool table and Foosball in the lower level of the house are also very nice. Our only issue was the beds. All upstair beds are in poor condition. Master beds are good. Some downstairs beds were ok butv others were uncomfortable. The crib mattress is too soft and should be replaced Note that owner added a dishwasher but you must connect it to kitchen faucet. We also enjoyed the ATV rides

Family Thanksgiving

We all gathered for a family Thanksgiving. There was 18 of us from age 1 to 83. It was a perfect place for us with more than enough beds for everyone and room for all of us to sit and eat together at the same table. We all enjoyed feeding the goats and cows and the cat was a sweet addition to the family. Our host was the best. Very sweet and very easy to contact if we had questions. She even gave a few of us a quad ride around the property. We all agree that as our family grows this will be a great place to return to.

Fun Family Farm Vacation

There were 15 of us and we fit beautifully into the farm house. Fixing food and eating was easy with a well equipped kitchen. The goats were a big hit. A good time was had by all.

What a delight!

For the first time in years we were able to spend time together as a whole family (22 of us) and this house didn’t disappoint. Everyone enjoyed the spacious design, game room, and feeding the animals. The whole property set up was inviting and clean. Would highly recommend.
