Girdwood is a small outdoor and skiing community located 30 miles south of Anchorage. Home of Mt. Alyeska and Alyeska Resort, Girdwood is the perfect place to spend your Alaskan getaway for skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, and exploring south-central Alaska.

The Girdwood Valley Guest House is nestled in the trees with privacy, yet close enough to all amenities. The property is less than 1.5 miles to Girdwood Town Center and less than a mile to the Ski Day Lodge.

The house includes over 4,700 square feet of living area, along with multiple decks, hot tub, and EV charger. The large family room includes a large 4K Roku TV with Klipsch surround system, poker and pool tables, and a Bowflex adjustable weight bench set. There is a formal dining area, breakfast bar, wood stove, large custom kitchen with stainless appliances, three full baths, and a large laundry room. Each floor includes a Bluetooth TEAC / Curtis Mathes Vacuum Tube Stereo System. Beautiful original oil paintings throughout the house by Eugene Daymude, Charles Handford, Edmund Blouin, James Kendrick, Robert Rucker, and Collette Pope Heldner. As well, there is a garage large enough to park your vehicle and store outdoor gear. Enjoy the stellar views of the Girdwood Valley from the large windows in the living room, dining area, and from the deck.

House includes HD YouTube TV and best available Wi-Fi in Alaska (GCI RED).

The house is stocked with shampoos and conditioners, soaps, laundry detergent (Hypoallergenic Ecos), toilet paper, paper towels, condiments, dressings, popcorn, flour, sugar, cooking oils, vinegars, spices / seasonings, etc. The house has coffee stations in the basement and on the first floor that are stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, Truvia, Sweet 'N Low, and creamers.

Please note this is a residential neighborhood, loud parties are not allowed! As well, a maximum of the three cars at the house at one time and no parking in the street.

Troop 5 Alaska exploration before summer camp

This home was everything we hoped for and more! It was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and had more than enough space for our group of 12. The kitchen and bathroom amenities were incredibly convenient and made our stay so comfortable. The neighborhood in Girdwood was peaceful and beautiful, just minutes from the resort, yet felt wonderfully private. The home truly exceeded our expectations and ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Snowboard trip

We stayed here for our annual snowboard trip and it was a great choice. The view of the mountains is beautiful and my wife absolutely loved the tub. Overall i was really happy with our stay.

This rental house goes far beyond a rental, it is truly a home away from home. I cannot think of anything that was not provided, everything in the VRBO description of the house is on point. This Alaska trip was a bucket list item for me and this house and Jackie the manager completely exceeded my expectations. Do not hesitate...CHOOSE THIS HOUSE!

We love it here

Our fourth trip to Girdwood. So nice to get out of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet here. The house was awesome again! Hot tub and game room are great and we love the new rooms under the garage. Hoping to return this summer. Thanks Jackie!

Great Vacation Spot

We enjoyed a visit with a group of family members for a wedding in girdwood. The house had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for 12 adults to relax and enjoy the surrounding area and the views did not disappoint.

Favorite place to stay in Girdwood

We've stayed here before. Somehow even nicer than last time. The new hot tub was great and there are even two more rooms now. Will be back for the ski season with friends, highly recommend. Great place for couples (us) and groups of friends (also us).

Amazing Mountain Home

Beautiful home that easily accommodated our group of 8 for an annual ski trip. Only ski trip where we had 4 king beds and a pool table. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for our annual friends trip! There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room (didn’t even use the bunk room) The house has incredible views and only minutes from so many amazing places.

Our family stayed here over New Years. The house is great for all ages. Very comfortable and entertaining. Loved the hot tub, pool table. Very clean with lots of room to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. We are already planning a future vacation here;)

Beautiful log home!

Fantastic place to stay to ski and play with family for the New Years holiday! Whole house is well maintained and very clean! Only minor suggestion is to remove cobwebs in upstairs master room. We only discovered after a few days into our stay but were too high to deal with, otherwise so nice! Thank you!

Wonderful stay in Girdwood

My husband and I brought our kids for a quick getaway to Girdwood. This was our second trip to this house in Girdwood and this house was just incredible! We had everything we needed for preparing meals, the EV charger for our car was great, and the kids really enjoyed the game room and big jacuzzi. Our daughter is special needs and the house had a high chair for her, pack-n-plays, and was very accommodating. Thank you so much and we will return!

Great for multi-generational family

Overall, the house worked great for us. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and supplies. Enjoyed the hot tub and soaker tub. Would be nice if the two windows above the bed in master suite could be covered, since it's light outdoors almost all night. Tub in downstairs bathroom has slow drain.

Wonderful home in Alaska!

We had a wonderful time and this rental had everything you could need for a family vacation! We didn’t need to bring a pack n play, or a high chair, which was a huge help! Tons of VHS movies for the kids to choose from, and the perfect setup for my family. There was plenty of room for everyone. The views are incredible, and the house was pretty central in location for driving to see a lot of Alaska. The kitchen is stocked with anything you could need to prepare your food. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Great family weekend

This was such a great property to hold our large family. It is so unusual to find a house with 4 king bedrooms. Master suite is huge! Great basement for all the kids to hang out. Kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of dishes. We cooked all our meals there because the space was so comfortable. Garage is a nice touch to store fat tire bikes and skis etc. Will hopefully be back soon!

Girdwood in March

This little town of Girdwood was awesome. We had the ski resort about a 1/3 mile away. We did some ice fishing in Anchorage, we did a mini cruise out of Seward, we went to a wild life adventure park and we rented snowmobiles. Everything we did was within an hour and a half. Great location, the house was perfect. We had 3 couples and a three year old. Each family had it's own floor. The hot tub was amazing, the house is filled with absolutely everything you need, from sugar, creamer, ketchup, jelly, peanut butter, flour, oil, zip locks bags, etc. I can't begin to tell you how great the house was. The bottom floor was the highlight, with the pool table, card table and the amazingly large brand new hot tub.

Not Disappointed!

If you’re looking for a place that can accommodate a large number of people, great views, peace, quiet and easy access to places of interest, then look no further. We were a group of 11: 9 adults ( ages 32 to 65 ) and two kids (6 and 10) and there was plenty of room for us all. The house was exactly as described and CLEAN. Jackie, the house manager, was very nice and super responsive. Here, briefly, are just some of the things we really liked: We never felt cramped, with plenty of room to spread out. The downstairs pool table, entertainment area and hot tub were huge hits, especially for the dads and kids. The view out back was amazing - the deck was one our favorite places to hang out - with plenty of seating to just sit,“chill” and grill - which we definitely did! The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Bathrooms had plenty of towels, shampoo, etc. One of the things we really appreciated were the freezers: there was one in the laundry room, another in the kitchen and a box freezer in the garage. We were heading to Homer after our Girdwood stay and came with A LOT of groceries!!!! There’s much more I could say, but you get the gist….it was a great stay and I would totally recommend a booking.

Great host and house

We had a great stay at this house. The beds were comfortable and plenty of room for our group of 8. We enjoyed the wonderful view of the mountains and the spacious living areas. The kitchen was well equipped and we had plenty of bedding available. The host was prompt communicating with us and left clear instructions for everything. I highly recommend this host and this property.

Great time

The house was amazing. We had 3 less people than we expected but the space was perfect. There was plenty of everything we could possibly need. However, one complaint. The master bathroom shower head. My husband is 6’4” & totally didn’t fit under it. I’m 5’8” & just barely fit. We had to be very careful not to get water on the wood floors.
