This two-story year-round retreat offers its guests cozy and simple tranquility in the mountains of Alaska. Sit out on your private balcony while the sun is shining and take in stunning views of the forests and mountains beyond. Back inside, prepare meals in your full kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar. Enjoy the magical view of the mountains from the primary bedroom or living room.

Within a few walking blocks of this condo is the base of Alyeska Resort, giving you incredible year round easy access to the mountain.

Summers offer hiking and biking trails. A short walk or shuttle ride away, one can ride the Aerial Tram 2,000 feet up the North Face to stunning views of the Turnagain Arm, up to seven “hanging” glaciers and endless peaks deep into the Chugach Mountain range.

Winters offer some of the best skiing in the world. With everything from a professional ski school to challenging off-piste runs.

Located just 40 miles along the scenic Highway 1 from downtown Anchorage, the state's largest city. The town is also home to several gorgeous parks, a zoo, local universities, museums, and of course several shops and restaurants. The condo is well situated for day trips: Portage Glacier 25 miles, Hope 53 miles, and Seward 92 miles.

Beautiful Alaska getaway

Last minute getaway. Property was an unexpected surprise and was impressive. Will consider using it again during ski season.

Do Not Stay In This Rental

Until the carpets are removed and replace to get rid of the prevailing musty/wet dog odor, this unit should not be rented.

great location

nice to have 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Location is great, close to Alyeska ski resort and Girdwood is a cute little town with amenities we needed. If get chance check out Girdwood brewery. Condo clean and comfortable. Older folks may struggle with spiral staircase to bedrooms, especially with heavy suitcase. Worked fine for us. Had one issue and communication with Vacasa was not as smooth as would like. But there is a Vacasa office just down the street which was convenient. We would recommend staying here and we would stay here again.

Great Place, Great Location

Overall a great place to stay! beautiful views and walking distance to everything you could need. The check in was a bit tricky as instructions did not specify which side of the building key was located. I went to what i thought was the main entrance and tried to figure out where the key was for about 20 minutes. Finally called the help line and they let me know you have to walk to the side of the building to a staircase. I would say, the one thing to improve for summer guests would be to have some black out curtains and plug in fans for bedrooms. It was sunny and about 80 degrees at 10 pm upstairs when i tried to put my son down.

Good size, it all worked for us. There was faulty wiring of the overhead kitchen bar lighting that we reported. Beds were fine. Had to call Vacasa to get correct WiFi pw as written description wasn’t clear. Adequate not elegant but who stays in the room at Alyeska?

July in Girdwood

We enjoyed our visit to Girdwood. The unit was nice but lacked a few necessities such as a coffee maker and toaster. We asked at the office about the coffee maker and they were very kind to provide one. It would be nice if better pillows were provided for both beds, but we made do with the ones there. We loved visiting the surrounding area. Thanks for providing affordable lodging for our trip.

Hot water lasts approximately 45 seconds.

Amazing water pressure but glacial cold after about 45 seconds. Rinsed in freezing cold water and skipped conditioner, shaving and anything else. Front door would not lock. Everything else was great dishes pots and pans available comfy clean beds.
