Welcome to The Bannister Cottage on Lake Hartwell! This inviting vacation home feels like you’ve stepped into a dear friend’s welcoming retreat, rather than a typical rental. This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage is ideal for couples and families alike. Relaxing getaway

We were happy to have such a beautiful and functional house for our stay at Lake Hartwell . It was spacious and comfortable and was fully equipped with everything needed! The screened porch was our favorite with a view of the lake and many birds singing in the trees.

Wonderful Stay

My husband and I stayed to be closer to the venue for our daughter’s wedding. The house had everything a person could need. It was so clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The house is very comfortable and in a perfect location. We loved the porch looking over the lake. The owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We’ve already made plans to visit again with our family this summer.

Beautiful Lake Front Getaway

My friends and I came up for homecoming at Clemson and decided to stay on Lake Hartwell. This was the absolute perfect place for us! The house was beautiful and perfectly clean and ready for our arrival. We loved hanging out on the dock and sitting out on the patio in the evenings. The hosts made sure our check in process was as easy as possible and had the house completely stocked with whatever you might need. If you find yourself looking for the perfect getaway on Lake Hartwell, I highly recommend this property!

This place is great!

My wife and three adult children stayed at the property for four nights. The place was spotless! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It was nice to have basic things, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, on site. Sixteen local relatives aged 7 through 80 showed up for dinner on the second day. The dining area, kitchen, and porch easily accomodated all of us. It also was nice to have stairs going down to the boat dock - many houses on the lake do not have stairs. The drive into Anderson and Clemson took about 15-20 minutes.

Great property! Even better than the pictures!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during thanksgiving at this beautifully updated home. The owners did a great job at remodeling this property (we flip houses and have seen a lot of bad & good jobs). 7 of us slept at the house and my brother and his wife joined us for thanksgiving dinner- ample dining space for all of us! Every pot and pan or utensil you might need was available. We cooked thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed the lake. Definitely will return again. Owners were very quick to respond before our trip, and everything was so easy and renter friendly, we never had to contact the owner at all during our stay. Can’t wait to stay again! Thank you so much!

Clemson Getaway

The Bannister Cottage was a great getaway for our family coming into town to visit our Clemson freshman. The Cottage has a great view, looking down and out onto the peaceful lake. The cottage is just as the photos represent. The interior is light, cozy and clutter free. The kitchen is well stocked. Great dining options, as there is a 4 top kitchen dinette, a 6 top(or more) dining table and seating outside on a screened in porch. The cottage was down to the dust boards clean! I was very happy! The bedrooms are perfect with nice bedding and comfy mattresses. The master shower is spa like. We were very comfortable at the cottage for our weekend Clemson visit! (Clemson about 15-20min away)

Cozy cottage on the lake

This property is the cutest little cottage, tastefully decorated with everything you need, in house. Location is perfect for fishing tournaments at Greenpond Landing and event center. You can dock the boat and it's just a short ride by water so no waiting in line for the boat ramp. It's located in a quiet neighborhood. We felt very safe. The screened in back porch was our favorite spot in the early mornings watching the sunrise. The house was very clean and comfortable. The large dining table gave ample seating for us to have other anglers over for dinner. Having the washer and dryer helped us keep all of the stinky fishing clothes washed up and ready for the next day. IYKYK. We highly recommend this property!

Great Weekend

Very nice home, on the lake with deep water. Nicely redone inside and would like to have this for a second home. Neighborhood a little sketchy but no problems.
