"Nice hotel for visiting my Colgate student son. Reasonable price during summer. Sells out immediately for family weekend and other big campus events and price is much higher. Most reasonably priced options are about 20 miles out of town, so reserve as early as possible."

"Staff was great! Our room had a walk in shower. The water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor. Either poor design, shower curtain too short or what?? The fridge is placed in a hard to axcess cabinet. Guests should be warned NOT to open the door from the top where it is designed to be opened as you will injure your hand. Fire pit did not work!"

"The room was large, comfortable and clean. This is a unique historic property and has been restored/maintained to the original condition, so don’t expect a Holiday Inn, but the rooms have all the modern conveniences. My bathroom was completely modern and most importantly, clean. I was there mostly at night and it seemed I had the whole place to myself, which was a little spooky, but there are many historical exhibits to explore that are open to explore even at night. A very unique experience and if you like history and historical properties, this is a great way to get an up close look!"
