The description for beds was not correct. However, the property / property managers did everything they could to accommodate and help make the situation right. We enjoyed our stay, hot tub was a nice touch, and there was tons of deer!
We had a great time, location was perfect. Only issue was the frozen solid driveway up to the house. If you don't have a 4-wheel drive vehicle or chains on your tires, you will NOT make it up to the house. Be prepared. We slid all over the place.
We enjoyed our stay, appreciate the use of your beautiful cabin.

Great location and lots of room
This home is great for multi-family gatherings! There was plenty of room for us to hang out and not get in each other's way. It also has a convenient location to all the winter activities.
Stayed for 5 days with friends. Three different families with 6 kids total. Plenty of room and perfect location for skiing. Great house and deck. Check in and out was easy. Would definitely stay here again.
Our group of families spent a long weekend in this spacious house. All was perfect and plenty of room for all of our families, beautiful home & property. Owners were prompt in answering our questions. Would definitely recommend!
I already placed this review. We truly enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was wonderful and location was perfect. The only con was that they could use more bowls and drinking glasses. We had a great time and the check in process was easy with lovely people.
Really liked how close the house was to the slopes. Easily walking distance from the house to the chili lift. Issues that were encountered with the house were resolved quickly by the property management staff which was good.
Awesome and gorgeous cabin. A total of 20 family memberes were able to comfortably sleep in all the availabe beds. Location was 2 min away from ski resort and tubing. 5 for the nearesy super market. Totally recommend for any guesy
The location and the property were nice, however the hot tub was not unlocked when we first arrived, even though we paid the extra money for the hot tub. Property manager was responsive to fix the problem, and it was unlocked later that day. The cleanliness of the property was great, but it would have been nice to have access to the garage to store our bikes (we did not have access). Also, the back deck is a bit rickity, and we were a little nervous that it might collapse while we had the whole group out there (luckily, the deck did not collapse).
Overall, a great property for large groups, but there a a few items that should be addressed by either the property management company or the property owner.
14 of us stayed at the house, 8 adults and 6 kids. The house was clean and advertised well. Communication was quick and easy. Plenty of room for all 15 of us. Each adult paid got separate rooms and the 6 kids stayed in the “kid” room ad we called it as it has a basketball hoop in it. 2 kids shared a full size bed and the other 4 had their own bed - all in the same room. They loved it. Kids aged 6 to 13. We had a hiccup getting in but our door code was reset remotely and fast and fans were dropped off same day when we asked. House is close to a few restaurants- if you like Peruvian food, you must go to Mikuna Grill. Everyone raved about how good their dish was - even the picky kids! It’s also close to a gas station, small grocery store, and a small souvenir shop. Not very far from Taos for a day trip - although we got construction from road damage.
We were able to watch the drone show on 4th of July from the deck instead of going out (you have to go in front of the room over the garage for the embers view).
It has a hot tub, we did not use it. We would stay here again if we come back to Angel Fire.
Communication with Angela in the beginning was good. I'm sure other listings from their management team are great but this house could use some work. Upon entry the home had a strong sulfur smell in the downstairs area. Many of the pillows stained with blood. The hot tub (after paying an extra $260) was good for one use. It was described that "foreign contaminants" could change the chemical balance, but after ONE use? The hot tub turned green and smelled terribly. I own a hot tub myself and this has never happened. I text the management team on day 2 with no response, so I tried emailing them the next day (second to last) and they responded by saying "... I apologize that it was not available the morning of your departure" which either they didn't read my message correctly the first time or purposely were trying to make it seem like I waited until last minute to tell them (which is not the truth). I found that quite unprofessional. This house is fine if you are having a group of friends for a ski trip but I would not recommend it for my family.
First off, this location is fantastic and the fact that it can hold so many people across multiple rooms is great. The property managers are responsive and the check in and out process is easy. The house is cool layout wise sand the kids enjoyed the game room. That said, the place is a bit dated. You can tell some of that from the pictures and we were okay with it mostly, but some small spend woild make a big difference. Of note for us were the following: The upstairs TV is super outdated.
It’s Smart functionality is pretty limited (it still says Amazon Instant Video and won’t run several Amazon subscription channels even if you log in). We have small children so we watch TV at night in vacations, so this matters to us; The mattresses in several rooms could use mattress pads to make them more comfortable; The shower heads are small and old and the shower tile in 2 of the showers had a good amount of mildew; The knife selection was challenging. There were a lot of them but all dull. We cook at the house a lot so this was an issue for us. Maybe less so for others; Lastly, the furniture upstairs in the living room isn’t super comfy. It’s basically 2 different sized Futons. I’m not suggesting it needs to be plush luxury couches, but something a bit nicer would help.
Summary - The location carries the day on the property and possibly justifies the price, but the amenities at the house don’t.
This trip was terrific and we will definitely be staying at 5K again in the future. The house was perfect-big enough common spaces for us all to eat and hang out together, and with enough bedrooms for folks to have some alone time as needed. The hottub (extra reservation and charge) really was the icing on the cake for me! Also, the shuttle service provided by the property made getting to and from the slopes easy, regardless of road conditions. But what really made this a delightful trip was. the. responsiveness and warmth. of. the staff of the property management company. Angela and Maria were kind and speedy in resolving issues that came up for us- a minor one of not having enough dishwasher pods, and a major one of our car battery dying just as we were leaving at the end of our stay. The dishwasher pod fairly flew over promptly and more importantly, the jump arrived with cheer in the falling snow!
The cabin was nice but you had to pay extra ($250) to use the hot the hot tub that is advertised and the night before checkout they changed our checkout time from 11 am to 10 am. The rental management group and VRBO need to figure this out.
The property was great, however having carpet in a great portion of the unit makes it hard to keep clean, recommendation is to have tile or wood floors, would be easier to keep clean, also carpet creates a mildew smell. One suggestion is for the resort to leave some cleaning supplies.

nice cabin
the cabin was a nice stay over all. some of the downsides: there was construction next door on a house that was being built which was rather obnoxious. we did find large stains on the carpets and some trash on the floor upon arrival. the place also smelled strongly like mothballs. it feels quite crowded when all beds are taken, but that's to be expected. some of the upsides: the area is beautiful and it is located near two gorgeous lakes and multiple hikes. the cabin itself is lovely but could be designed a bit more efficiently. would still recommend this stay
Very comfortable property, ideal location and well maintained! Loved having FOUR bathrooms for our large group and the layout of the rooms was perfect! Gave everyone a little retreat of their own! One recommendation would be to replace two mattresses in downstairs rooms. In the room with two singles, the bed up against the outer wall has a worn out springy mattress. In the room with the three beds (downstairs) the one bed mattress is very bowed. Overall, a superb stay! I would recommend and absolutely rent again!
Clean property but not enough supplies were provided for the trip. We were informed after we arrived, that we would only receive a “starter pack” of household supplies. Three trash bags, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 3 dish soap tablets for a week long stay in a cabin that sleeps “20” is pretty stingy. If you plan on staying here just make sure you BYOS.
Everything was great! 3 of the beds might need to be updated because they would sink in.
Everything was great! We had an amazing time. The only thing was 3 of the beds would sink in when you would lay down. But other then that there was no problem. The property management does an amazing job at getting back you you with any quick or concerns you have.
