"Nice campsite for a few nights. Good restaurant, staff and facilities. However, we booked a 4 person Comfort Cottage for a week but we given a 6 person Modern Cottage without explanation. The extra room was a bonus but I’m glad there were only 4 of us as 6 would have felt very cramped. The Modern Chalet style wasn’t what we booked nor particularly wanted however we we glad to have a covered balcony as it rained for half our stay. The harsh lighting, uncomfortable bed and lack of kitchen...

"Tres bon accueil du gérant et tres discret. Les photos ne sont pas renouveler d'où la surprise. Le petit coin terrasse avec parasol et transat inexistant, nous avons eu droit a des chaises rouillé et des excréments sur le mur ou l'on doit etendre le linge, les ronces on été coupé juste avant notre arrivé, toilette bouché (intervention du gérant). "Positives - The balcony is genuinely useful for drying clothes and towels. On-site parking is a major plus in Hossegor as street parking is a nightmare, though spaces fill quickly. The location itself is excellent and easily walkable to both the lake and town centre. Negatives - Check-in & Access: The door code didn't work. We had to trek back to reception, which is in a different building on a different street—information you only discover after arrival. They issued a replacement...

"Tout simplement une honte ! Logement très sale et nauséabond, pas de draps, mobilier extérieur rouillé. Les équipements promis pour mon bébé n'y étaient pas. Pour l'arrivée, heureusement que les voisins étaient présents pour nous donner son numéro. Il nous a été impossible d'y rester loger. Une honte aussi du coup de la part d'Abritel car malgré un litige en cours dès le soir même et des photos à l'appui, nous restons sans nouvelles de leur part, ni du propriétaire bien évidemment. "

Hotel & Spa Vacances Bleues Le Splendid

8/10 Good

"Staff could be more friendly and offering snacks throughout the afternoon in the beautiful foyer would be a great idea. Also, parking is difficult as is finding the way from the car park to the front door of the hotel. Overall, a fantastic looking building with a superb spa so worth visiting despite the challenges."

The Originals City, Hôtel Les Bruyères, Dax Nord

10/10 Excellent

"Reception staff was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble. We were travelling with a dog,the room give (dog room) was immaculate. I would suggest, milk for the coffee and a English tv channel, even if just the bbc new. Will be back Thank you"

Motel des Landes

8/10 Good

"Very clean and served our purpose perfectly as a place to stay while traveling through the area. We were very satisfied. And we were received well at check-in. The only weird thing was that we went for breakfast about 9am. The receptionist (a different man from the evening before) greeted us nicely and offered us breakfast (8euro each) which we accepted (in English) and then he suddenly changed and said there was not enough food left. That we can go eat at a bakery down the street. It was very strange because just minutes before other guests entered the breakfast area and were seated and eating. He changed so suddenly that we doubted that what he said was true. But we simply accepted what he said and went to the bakery down the road for coffee and breakfast, which was great and cheaper. But the experience left us wondering why he suddenly changed (maybe because we are English speakers?... It's still a mystery to us. Although being from Canada we can understand French). That they would run out of food well before the breakfast cut off time when there were very few guests in the motel doesn't seem believable to us. But overall the place was great for a reasonable price. Except that weird incident, we would recommend the place. "
