Hotel is very clean , large room , and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was better than your basic continental type, Including meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, fruit and breads.
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel!!! On top of everyone being super kind and helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful. Our room overlooked a beautiful church, we felt like we were in a movie. The room was spacious and our bed was very comfortable. The food and THE DRINKS AT THE TEXAN can’t be missed. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches… even the included breakfast.., you really can’t go wrong at this location. It has everything you need. 10/10 recommend and will be returning!!!
Excellent location for walking to dining, shops, sites. Good amenities, dining and cafes attached. The owner is friendly and help. Angra is a beautiful historic city.
Such a delightful stay! Rooms were beautifully designed and all had balconies that looked onto the street so you could enjoy the surroundings Breakfast items were very good . Easily walkable to marina and shopping and good restaurants and museums. Would definitely stay here again. And The Texan restaurant has DELICIOUS true to taste Mexican food that we are used to with the flavors similar to the USA in case you are looking for a change of palette. Book here - you won’t regret!

The property is beautiful. Wonderful rooms overlooking the cathedral. The staff and owner are very friendly and gracious!
Had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Owner and staff went above and beyond, ensuring our visit was memorable. Room was spacious. Restaurant attached to the hotel had great food. Would not hesitate to return and recommend this hotel.
Awesome new boutique hotel. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. They went above and beyond to make our two nights there memorable. Met the owner and he seemed very involved in both the hotel and restaurant day to day activities. couldn't recommend this hotel more. Breakfast included was great.
It was an amazing stay. It’s a modern hotel in central location. It was clean and within walking distance from restaurants and botanical garden. We were especially impressed with its staff. Pedro brought us a hot tea when we came at night after the two delayed flights. He was always cheerful and helpful. We liked the breakfast.

Good location for this new property within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and tourist sites. The smaller rooms have no drawers for clothes and a tiny closet by chair w desk so plan accordingly.
Restaurant is good though corn tortillas for tacos are rather dry and tough to eat. Staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast is good w eggs, pancakes, bread, variety of fruit and sliced meat as well as granola and cereals plus yogurt. Coffee is good.
Very nice hotel and extremely convenient location. The staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the room is soundproof. There is no dedicated parking but there were plenty of street parking spaces in front of the hotel. I just wanted to note that there is no tea kettle or coffee machine in the room, not that I didn’t know about that, it’s just unusual. However there is a tea kettle in the breakfast area that one can use. So overall highly recommended
Best hotel on Terceira Island.
I booked this for my wife’s birthday and bought our two young children and we were amazing by the service and high quality of the hotel.
The location is perfect for getting anywhere you want to as it is in the center and for a hotel that has just been renovated the standard is incredibly high. The warmth and excellent hospitality was evident from the moment we entered. They even were kind enough to leave my wife a birthday cake in our room and put her birthday flowers in a vase. The suite itself had a very spacious feel and a separate room for us to use to relax in once we had put the children to bed. Jeff, the owner was incredibly kind to our family and made us feel incredibly welcome here. A lovely home away from home feeling. The breakfast was incredible too with delicious fresh pastries from the bakery. We would highly highly recommend you choose this place as your next place to stay on the beautiful Island.
My cousin & I chose this hotel as a base camp for hiking on Terceira because of its close location to Monte Brasil, the harbour & lots of restaurants.
All the staff were very kind, thoughtful & helpful. We were checked in by Fluberto, who gave us good advice for our 1st hike & Lisandra connected us with an amazing taxi driver (Vasco) who was bilingual, and assisted us with our late check out request. We met Jeff, the owner & his lovely dog (Whiskey)- you can tell he has put a lot of thought into the place.
The lobby is clean, minimalist, with a nice decor. The elevator runs smoothly, albeit on the smaller side (typical of European hotel elevators though), and the floors are also accessible via stairs. There were a couple of steps up from the entrance to the lobby- not sure if there is an accessible option they can provide (like a ramp).
Our room was well decorated- the furniture, the colours, and decor were tasteful. Everything was clean, the bed was firm (maybe too firm for me, but other may enjoy it more). The soaps/shampoos were all local/Azorean products. The tap water is drinkable, but they still provided a bottle and glasses. The room contained a working safe, and plug-points with USB type A and C outlets as well- perfect for travellers from outside EU.
The hotel is close to many amenities including pharmacies, shops & restaurants- it is also attached to its own delicious bakery, as well as an American-themed restaurant (busy with locals!).
Would stay again!
Breakfast was decent. My room was nice in size. My bed was comfortable in the main room but, the sofabed was hard and uncomfortable per my father. The staff was nice especially the woman that ran the checkin, unfortunatelyI cant remember her name. The only bad thing was our room windows faced to the garden dinning area which was nice to see all the umbrellas dangling but, which we learned on our last night there turned into a VERY loud dj/ karaoke party that started at 10pm and would last till after midnight. You can imagine how upsetting it can be especially like for us when we were trying to sleep to catch a taxi at 430am the next day.
Good location. Room was clean. Staff were helpful. Liked being able to order omelets at breakfast.
Front desk was not staffed most of the time (there was a phone number provided. Getting hot water in the shower was a challenge.
This is a truly exceptional hotel. The owner is an American transplant and has thought of everything. The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated and has a few restaurants that draw a lot of locals. It is very centrally located as well. Easily the best choice in a great small city.
