Loved my stay. Internet and phone service were sketchy but that was fine because I enjoyed the view and interacting with the animals. Amy, the host was so sweet and accommodating. I definitely want to stay again.
Amy was a wonderful hostess! She was easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any of our questions. The property is beautiful and we would highly recommend scheduling a tour of the farm for an educational and fun experience with the highland cattle.

Perfect Get Away in the Country
Myself, wife and 2 year old son came up to London KY to visit family after Christmas and was looking for a unique place to stay. I randomly searched online and came across Highland Haven. This cabin was the perfect size for the three of us. Our son enjoyed sitting by the big viewing window to see the Highland cows every morning and throughout the day. He loved hearing them mooooo. We look forward to staying here again if we are ever in the area again.
I am not sure where to begin with this review. We have stayed at A LOT of VRBO rentals over the years. Many bigger, some fancier/nicer, BUT, this was our favorite stay in a LONG time. We stayed here for a week to do a “working vacation”, and check out some homes for sale in the area. If you want to be smack dab in the middle of 155 acres of pristine cattle pasture/farm land, then stay here. For our family of 6, it was definitely tight, especially being there so much during the week to work. But for a smaller family/couple this would be ideal. The cabin is a little older and it does show, but it was a very accommodating stay. We enjoyed a bonfire, watching sunsets, listening to cows, and watching a working farm in action. Amy was very quick to respond to our wifi problems, and to assist with any items we needed. The best part for us and our kids was meeting and falling in love with their dogs, especially Elli the Great Dane. We are so thankful for our stay, and if we do move to the area I will definitely be purchasing our next whole beef from them.
We really enjoyed the serenity of the cabin and the surrounding farm. We watched deer in the morning while enjoying our coffee. Watched the birds a and deer in the evenings.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time! Beautiful property and the owner was very congenial. It was a very pleasant stay! Our entire party was very pleased with our stay.
Amy was great with answering all my questions. The cabin was very nice and decorated with a lot of cute and homemade items. It has beautiful scenery and is a great place for families to relax and unwind. We even had some furry friends visit us My only regret was not getting to take a farm tour or inquire about the homemade items for sale. Hopefully next time!
Loved staying here. Great location and beautiful scenery. Lots to do close by. We came to go hiking and it didnot disappoint. Amy was great and super helpful her suggestions were perfect for what we were looking for. Worse thing was having to leave.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Stayed here on a weekend trip with my significant other and we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time! There are many places to go hiking around the area which we enjoyed as well as being on the farm and meeting the beautiful cattle! The farm owner and her farm hand are very polite and helpful. I would live there if I could!
We were a small group of 4 coworkers spending time together for team building. The cabin is a cozy and cute little place with just enough space to relax and unwind. The host was kind and communicated well. Clean, adorable decor and information on the location inside! We loved the country, cows and comfort!
This was the vacation we have looked for the past couple years.
Every day was relaxing and quiet.
The tour of the farm was as if we were with our cousins. Amy & Brent were amazing. The farm to table meal they cooked for us was second to none.
We will definitely be visiting the farm soon.
We had the best vacation there.

Loved it!!!
My wife loves Highland cows and has been wanting to go and see them for awhile. So for her birthday this year we booked a weekend getaway at Highland Haven. My wife said this was her favorite vacation that we have been on. And for our honeymoon we spent a week at a Sandals in Grenada. Amy was absolutely wonderful a d very knowledgeable about the cows, she taught us so much. The cabin was an awesome experience. My wife and I love watching tiny home shows and we've always wanted to stay in one. My wife loved sitting and looking out the big window watching the cows, especially the babies. Needless to say we will definitely be coming back
What a Jewel of a Property and Experience, Bravo Amy!
If I am ever around which I will be again this will be the place I will stay. This was such a wonderful experience for me my husband and my son! The cabin is adorable and has all you need. Including a Keurig and pods many kinds to choose from. The most important part of the visit that left me with such an amazing impression is the view out of the cabin huge picture window, outside sitting on the porch on the cabin, Amy's personal service with her invitation to join feeding cookies to the cows. We were on This massive 200 acre property with rolling Hills. Taking walks was fabulous! The sunset was fabulous! Serene and Private. Yet this property was a 5 minute drive from the center of Annville. Thank you Amy we absolutely loved being with you!!

Quite disappointing...
It's been a year since we stayed here and it still makes me angry to think about our experience. I had tried to contact the property several times to get more information and it was like pulling teeth (they communicate through a different site). Once they did respond, they told me all about the different experiences at the property they offered. Not once was it mentioned this was all at a very high extra cost. We were greeted by many big dogs when we arrived; which was fine, but alarming with them jumping on the side of our SUV once we parked. Once we learned doing anything on the farm would be a minimum of 75 on top of it all we were very sad, but tried to make the best of it. The place was cozy enough, loved the portrait window.. but then we tried to sleep. It had gotten quite warm in the house so we wanted to cool the bedroom ( where they SQUEEZED a full size bed) and we had to figure out the weird room air conditioner. There were no instructions about it, but we saw this strange machine and ice packs in the freezer that you had to put in it to make it cool. This was just wild to us. We tossed and turned all night, absolutely no sleep was gotten. We messaged the owners before the sun was even up explaining the whole situation and hoping for maybe some compensation for the overall disappointment and shortened stay due to how terribly uncomfortable sleeping was; we got silence. Radio silence a year later. I do not recommend this place unless you're a rich vampire.
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts, Brent and Amy were perfect. It exceeded every expectation. We have never been to a better maintained or clean farm. The animals are clearly so well taken care of with love. They are full of expressive personality. I highly recommend the tour. If our little ones had been older, there is a guidebook with an option of a working day on the farm that looked great. Amy is an expert and although humble about it, we discovered she knows everything there is to know about cows. There are also the most beautiful family friendly dogs, but bred to guard. We saw them circling the property and it was so cool!
The cabin is clean, very relaxing, and decorated with detailed thoughtfulness. It is completely quiet. It is a great place to actually see the stars at night.
We highly recommend, and feel blessed to have stayed!
