"PROs: The property is very clean. The gardens and grounds are kept neat and all areas are clean. The huge pool is wonderful. It is a secure resort so we felt very safe. On-site grocery was great to keep costs down. Inexpensive food options are available (cafe with crepes; pizza, etc), there are nightly activities (dancing, music, etc). Nice beaches are right in front of the hotel. Staff helpful and friendly! sunsets are amazing. CONS: The resort has an old feel. Rooms feel dated and somewhat 'patched up' in places. You feel like you are stepping back in time but there is also certain old school charm nonetheless; concrete walkways are cracked in many places giving it a worn appearance. For the luxury level prices, the place could have been more updated. There are daily excursions through a third party company but prices are very high. Complementary shuttle to airport would have been appreciated. "

"HOTEL DOUCE VAGUE is a traditional-style apartment hotel located on the ocean front, just 20 minutes walking distance from the city center of Sainte-Luce. Three nearby cozy beaches of the Gros Raisin are just a few minutes away from the hotel facility. There are two beach bars on one of the beaches, and an ice cream shop across the street from the hotel. In the city center of Saint-Luce, many small traditional restaurants offering a variety of seafood dishes, are lined along the seashore. The spacious family-size apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, and can sleep up to 5 people. The staff is highly professional, friendly, and passionate about their work. The front desk manager, and the housekeeper, will do everything to keep the customer satisfied. The gardener, is constantly grooming the abundant green plants and the colorful flowers of the lush garden surrounding the property. My wife and I have spent three wonderful weeks at the HOTEL DOUCE VAGUE, and we felt at home.We highly recommend HOTEL DOUCE VAGUE for their top-rated beachfront location, the excellence of their services, and the reasonable cost of the stay. "

"Très décevant. Points positifs : Accueil chaleureux. Petite piscine propre. Belle vue. Proximité en voiture de Sainte-Luce. Points négatifs : Allée très raide de 100 m. Dangereuse pour les conducteurs peu expérimentés ou en cas de pluie. Certains escaliers (accessibles sans voiture) étaient cassés et dangereux. La plage n'est pas à 3 minutes (c’est 25 mins) à pied comme annoncé. Peu d'eau chaude. Lit et oreillers très plats. Nous n'avons pas bien dormi une seule nuit. Pas de serviettes de plage ni de chaises longues comme indiqué. Une seule serviette par personne pour notre séjour de presque une semaine (pas de serviettes pour les mains ni le visage). Manque d'essuie-tout et de torchons dans la cuisine. Planche à découper et éponges dégoûtantes, vieilles et sales, couteaux émoussés et certains rouillés. Comble de l'irrespect, l'hôte nous a suggéré de séjourner dans un hôtel 5 étoiles la prochaine fois. Nous sommes donc partis deux jours plus tôt et elle a gardé le supplément. Nous adorons la Martinique et y venons souvent, mais nous ne recommande pas cette location."

"Facilité de communication avec Odile pour la réservation et très bel accueil de Karine à notre arrivée. Logement très propre. Endroit fidèle aux photos. Privé, barrière électrique à l'entrée. Vraiment situé à 3 minutes de la plage par un petit sentier au bout de la rue. Logement très bien équipé. J'y retournerais volontiers !!!"

"Absolutely do not stay at this property. Besides the inconvenience of having no staff on property, the property is filthy dirty I will include pictures in my review to show the deplorable condition of the bathroom. Beyond that there was no hot water in the shower only hot water coming from the sink. A phone call to the staff was no help at all as my faucet was broken. Upon arrival. The pictures show that the spring that was loaded into the shower had been removed and was set aside in the shower bin. "
