Finca las Chozas Antequera - La Joya by Ruralidays

At about 3 km distance of the small village La Joya you find this old farm that nowadays serves as a holiday home. The farm is located on a plot of about 10.000 m² and it is surrounded with Mediterranean vegetation typical of Andalusia. It is a wonderful place to relax while hearing the chirping of birds on the background.

The rest and tranquility of this holiday home are the most important characteristics. In addition to this, from the terrace you have a great view over the landscape of the province of Malaga, such as the mountains of Malaga, the Sierra Nevada and even the Mediterranean Sea, on extremely clear days.

The farm is renovated with preservation of architectonic elements like wooden beams, terracotta floors and wrought iron. The combination of traditional construction with more modern elements gives the house a friendly and warm feeling.

The holiday home is equipped for 4 people and there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with two single beds. Every room is provided with its own bathroom, one with shower, the other with bathtub. The living room is situated between the two bedrooms. Furthermore, there is an independent kitchen, fireplace, dishwasher and heating through gasoil radiators. Outside you will find a terrace, a barbecue and a private pool with deckchairs.

The farm and its rural environment offer a great possibility of relaxation after visiting one of the villages or cities of Andalusia.

If you wish an extra cleaning during your stay, it´s posible for an extra charge of €30,-

Wenn Sie ein komfortables, traditionelles spanisches Haus in einer unglaublich schönen ländlichen Gegend suchen, sind Sie hier genau richtig. Der große Pool trägt zum Vergnügen bei, aber der eigentliche Mehrwert liegt für mich in der herrlichen Aussicht vom Grundstück auf die Berge nahe El Torcal und Antequera. Das nahegelegene Hotel, in dem Sie die Schlüssel abholen, ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Der Gastgeber war freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat mich vom Hotel zum Grundstück gebracht. Direkt vor der Tür führt eine Landstraße entlang, die sich zum Spazierengehen eignet und Weideland und Ziegenherden bietet. Sehr friedlich, ich wünschte, ich hätte länger bleiben können. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die Zufahrtsstraße ist recht holprig und kann eine Herausforderung darstellen. Aber für mich hat es sich absolut gelohnt, ich war begeistert!

(toekomstige) Gasten; Erg fraaie woning met veel comfort. Wij waren er in februari en het was 's nachts wel koud maar de openhaard en de dekens gaven genoeg warmte! Huisje is inderdaad zeer rustig gelegen, ongeveer 30 minuten van de snelweg naar Malaga af. Aanrader is zeker de stad Antequera (ongeveer 25 minuten rijden), leuke gezellige stad met mooie bezienswaardigheden. Echt een aanrader dus en wij komen zeker in mei weer eens terug.... mvg Eric

Wij hebben inderdaad een uitstekend verblijf gehad in ons vakantiehuisje. Het was erg afgelegen maar juist daardoor prachtig gelegen in de bergen. Soms zweefden er hoog boven ons zwembad arenden in de lucht en 's avonds kwamen de zwaluwen drinken uit het zwembad terwijl wij er nog inzaten. We zijn ook zeer tevreden over de beheerder Luis. Deze was zeer beminnelijk en op efficiënte en flexibele wijze zeer behulpzaam. Hij sprak bovendien zeer goed Engels (tot onze verbazing een rariteit in toch al decennia lang toeristisch Spanje). Allergrootste probleem: de tijd gaat jammer genoeg te snel. Wat te doen? Vriendelijke groet van tevreden vakantiegangers!

We enjoyed a fantastic week at October half-term. Weather was mainly good (18-25 degrees C) and the Finca was just as we remembered it from our last visit - 5 1/2 years ago! Even the sherry barrel was still there, though sadly without the complimentary fino "on tap" that we enjoyed last time around. The views are still breath-taking, the roads still tortuous in places, the isolation is just what we were looking for. We'll try to make it back again rather sooner next time! Voor de koude nachten in november heel aangenaam. We komen zeker nog een keer terug in de regio, omdat er zoveel uitstapjes te maken zijn.

Het huis ligt in een natuurgebied, zo'n 40 minuten van de kust. Een prima uitvalsbasis voor het bezoeken van Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla, Malaga en andere plaatsen: alles is op 1 dag te doen
