Hotel Alpachaca

"The hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately you won’t realize it at first because it is behind and beside very rundown areas. Everything seems very new and clean. Onsite parking is great. The showers need shelving instead of tile pictures of shelving. The window needs a screen since there is no AC at night. No washcloths unfortunately. There is some purified water at the entrance for use. The rooftop lounge area is amazing with great distant views. Very close to the airport- especially if you have an SUV to take the little side street and take the curb to the homemade intersection access to avoid the long one-way streets. The tiny restaurant 300ft in front is easy access and good"

"Activities were excellent…shared horseback riding, hacienda lifestyle, e-bikes. Massages (Carmen!!) were amazing. Food was ok but some orders were certainly “lost in translation”, and not well coordinated with the kitchen (make sure to come early to meals if you have an activity planned afterwards). Staff though were lovely. The room was a little small for 2 adults and 2 teens but only because we had lots of luggage from being on a 3 week vacation. Warm water bottles at night were a lovely addition. There was a lovely fire attendant that visited the room very briefly every couple hours in the late afternoon and evening. The road in/out was a little rough, but we had a driver who dealt with it well. Highly recommend this whole experience!"

"The hotel is located in a really nice property, and it has a tennis court, a football court a covered pool and it has lamas and chickens, a workout room. It is a beautiful place with remodeled rooms that has been done very well, and a dining that is circular. All is very nice."

"Peaceful setting, stunning 360 views, with lovely, welcoming and helpful staff. Food was delicious! The lamb was perfect. Relaxing professional massage. Horses were all well cared for. Had a hour trail ride with Antonio(?spelling) lots of fun and laughs. Definitely a place I’ll go back to. Oh and the dogs all well behaved and friendly."

"This hotel is a hidden gem in Ecuador. We stayed here for 3 nights after a very busy week in the Galápagos, and it was the perfect end to our trip. The breakfast and dinners were huge portions and always delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful and always available for any questions. You can hike around the grounds to some amazing view points of Quito and the Andes mountains, and the caves are so interesting which you need a visit with a guide, but again they were really lovely and interesting to listen to. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and surrounded by amazing birds! A very relaxing retreat which I would highly recommend :) Thank you so much for an incredible stay."
