"The Baan Manali is an excellent resort for the price. It's on a lovely stretch of beach, they serve up amazing food and drinks, wifi is excellent and staff are very friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, but this adds to the charm of the resort. You won't find many good restaurants nearby, but this is the case in most areas and a scooter hire is almost essential in Koh Phangan if you want to explore the island and restaurants."

"Literally a ghost town. No one should stay here. Does not look as advertised. Pools are dark green water almost swamp like. receptionist is very rude. Avoid at all costs. "

"I was also fooled by the old pictures, place looks run down. With a little effort could by a lot better. The ladies who clean the rooms are great but everyone else looks like theyd rather be anywhere else. I had a conjoining room (which indidnt ask for, but whatever) and could hear everything in the next room over. Which was annoying. Place has potential, but it aint it. "

"This property has its share of online detractors, and there’s possibly a grain of truth in many of the comments. But seriously dude we’re all here for the view, and it sure delivers beyond expectations. Get yourself a brownie and do not miss the Saturday pool party, and shut up about the 600B minimum spend - it’s a bargain and best day ever. My ocean view room had everything required, a killer view and jungle serenity. Then there is the driveway. You’ve heard of it by now. I feel like they would do well to organise a vehicle shuttle up and down but until then, it’s all part of the fun. Kyeizu tin ba deh!"
