"This property was perfect for our family, we had an amazing time the creek and property was beautiful, we enjoyed exploring looking for crawdads, salamander, and rocks. Inside the kitchen was fully stocked, we had 9 people with us and there was plenty of dishes and all the things I had in my kitchen at home, including a crockpot. Also we had plenty of towels, which is a huge plus. There was ample sitting inside and outside. We will definitely be visiting this property again in the future! Thanks for hosting!!!"

"Beautiful place, a creek runs right beside cabin with a beautiful view from the living room windows with the water running down the rocks, has a great area for hanging out with a fire pit right by the water a hot tub and sauna, the only thing I would change would be to put a roof over the back patio by the fire pit, it rained a lot when we were there so a cover over that back patio would have been great, we could have sat there and played games or what not, we really didn’t get to use it a lot because of the weather. Oh and the pull out couch in the small cabin is not really usable for adults maybe for a child or 2, maybe. But we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The property was very nice and host is available and easy to reach. Great for a big family."

"Beautiful cabin, clean and stocked with everything you need. Beautiful location on a creek you can hear with your coffee on the porch. Only caution would be the driveway is steep and requires an SUV or truck to navigate."

"The lodge was everything and more than we could imagine. The house is fully stocked with everything you need, no need to pack the extra stuff, from phone chargers, touletries, state of the art appliances and more. The rain shower was wonderful. Great view of the mountain. I especially enjoyed sleeping in the lens. A super comfortable bed. It was like sleeping under the stars. Such a beautiful view looking out the large window. Was not quite cold enough for the fireplace, but it is beautiful when it is turned on. Matthew ( the owner) was readily available by e mail when we needed him, we locked ourself out at night and he responded quickly and guided us on how to get back in.The location is perfect, it was so peaceful. It is a long drive up the curvy sometimes steep gravel rd, but that is part of the experiance. If you like games, he has plenty of things to do inside. A firepit to build a fire and he even provided stuff for smores.this is a very unique place and is definetly a memorable place to stay. I highly recommend!"

"We had a great time at Rustic Retreat. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and seeing deer and a black bear. The owner was super responsive with clear instructions and gave great recommendations for local dining. We will definitely be staying here again."
