"We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully renovated windmill in Ponte de Lima. It is truly unique, full of character and set in a wonderfully peaceful and private location. The spacious decking and hot tub were highlights, with such fantastic views. The kitchen was well equipped and the property had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We were visited daily by two lovely black cats that we became quite attached to :)A car is recommended and the steep access road was no problem for us at all. There are mosquitoes due to the woodland and plug-in deterrents were provided but do bring a good repellent spray. I reacted badly to bites and needed a hospital visit. I’m British and found the care at Ponte de Lima hospital was excellent - far more efficient than in the UK. Within three hours, I was given a cortisone injection, had bloods returned and was issued with antibiotic cream. The staff were all wonderful.We’ve given 9/10 rather than 10/10 due to cleanliness. While the property was generally clean but would benefit from a deeper clean. Some windows and the patio door were quite dirty, and the sofa covers and some drawers could do with a thorough clean. These are minor, easily fixable issues. Overall, this is a beautiful, relaxing and very special place. We would happily return and would certainly recommend it. Hopefully next time it will be a 10/10 from us!"

"Stayed here for a wedding. Was pleasantly surprised at the amenities and service. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. Only downside was that getting to town required a short drive but uber rides were quick and inexpensive"

"Wonderful stay for us and our friends who all booked other rooms in the same hotel as we were visiting for a wedding. It is a bit further from the center of the city so we had to use a vehicle to get there. We found a nice walk/bike/run trail that starts near the hotel and goes towards nearby parks! The gym was super convenient to use. The breakfast was fantastic. Luggage storage came in handy and was smooth after we checked out so that we could explore nearby before our departure."
