The Space:
We invite you to stay in this beautiful, pleasant one bedroom cottage in Arcata. Elegant hardwood floors, expansive views of the redwoods and a convenient, fully equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing delicious spreads, provide a relaxing environment for family vacations, or romantic getaways.

This attractive cottage is in the heart of Arcata, only 3 blocks from Wildberries Marketplace, for all your grocery shopping desires, and 7 blocks from the Arcata Plaza. It’s a short walk over to Humboldt State University, where you can catch the latest shows at the Van Duzer Theatre, everything from Merle Haggard and Joan Baez to Steel Pulse.

There are numerous delectable restaurants within easy walking distance, and a coffee shop and several cafes around the corner. Every Saturday during the season there is a large Farmer’s Market on the Plaza featuring live music and fresh local food.

After a long day of exploring beautiful Humboldt County, come home to a comfortable queen size bed or relax and enjoy the view from the cozy furniture in the living room.

Arcata is only 25 minutes from majestic Redwood National Park, 15 minutes from the rugged, breathtaking coastline and a scenic drive to the Trinity River for exciting whitewater rafting. Bring a friend and come explore Arcata!

Perfect Getaway Home

The place was very cozy and close to everything. Walkable to an excellent ramen restaurant and grocery store. Short drive to the redwoods community park. Perfect stay for a weekend getaway in Arcata!

Perfect Stay

The location was perfect for us, just down the street from our daughter. The cottage was perfectly appointed with everything we needed, even bowls and towels for our dog. We will definitely be back.

Excellent location / great parking

Super Perfect

This little house is super cute, super clean, well appointed, and perfectly located within easy walking distance of downtown Arcata. I am so glad I found it, and will rent it each time I visit this area.

Lovely and convenient

We had a weekend planned that involved busy days and relaxed evenings. With Wildberries Grocery Store being so close, we could grab a premade meal, zap it in the microwave and settle in for a relaxing evening with our dog by ourside. Lovely.

Cozy, Comfortable Cottage

Very comfortable and immaculately clean (including the cubbards!). Well-equipped kitchen and bath (washcloths! Kleenex!) Very comfortable bed and good bedside lighting (readers will understand). Great location. An easy walk to downtown Arcata or Cal Poly.

Worst vacation rental experience

Bed was hideously uncomfortable. A yard sale mattress would have been better. Picture of the yard gave you the impression it was fenced and safe for you dogs. It was not and on a very busy street. We have always had wonderful vacation rental experiences. This place maybe great for partying young people who aren't bringing dogs and have good backs...

Easy place to enjoy Arcata

This cozy and very tidy home allowed my husband and me to spend two days in the area. We particularly enjoy the Saturday farmer’s market where families and people of all ages come to spend an hour or more not only buying local produce, but by spreading their blankets or bringing a folding chair while listening to live music chatting with each other, and even dancing. Children play with hula hoops. It’s festive and fun. There are also some good restaurants. We plan to rent this home again next year.

Great Location

Mary's place was clean, comfortable and equipped with all the basics we need for cooking and relaxing during our week long stay in Arcata. The bed was comfortable. Parking off road in the driveway in front of the unit was very convenient. We were a short drive or 8 block walk from the downtown area around the square and from the excellent (used) book store (Tin Mailman) and from the Natural Food Co-Op which had a great selection of organic foods plus prepared salads, soups and a food bar with options for take home dinners when we did not feel like cooking. We did a lot of hiking: the trails in the nearby (5 minute drive) Community Redwood Forest were beautiful and so too were the walks in the nearby marsh area on the outskirts of Arcata.

Cozy & Clean Cottage

We spent our honeymoon at this adorable, clean, cozy cottage and it was fantastic! Its location is perfect as you are in walking distance to one of the best grocery stores with a juice/smoothie bar, excellent pastries and an outstanding beer selection, while also being just a stroll down to the plaza and all of the shops. We ate at Folie Douce, recommended by our delightful manager, and it was by far one of the best meals we have had the pleasure of enjoying in our lives'! This restaurant is literally on the other side of the block, which is quite convenient when one wants to enjoy some libations. The ONLY drawback to the cottage was lack of curtains in the kitchen and the glass door that leads out to the patio. It would have been all the more relaxing to have complete privacy while lounging around the house, particularly at night. We would highly recommend this cottage to everyone! Jill & Ryan Keegan
