"The flat is located at the back of a hotel, behind the fire escape. Check-in was straight-forward and it was clean. However the kitchen was very poorly equipped - very little crockery, for example only one small bowl and only a couple of tumblers. There was no grater, no colander, no bread-knife, no kettle, no jug. There gripper/handle for a set of pans was missing, meaning they couldn't be used safely. "This is a beautifully modernised and well appointed old house in a small village in the foot hills of the mountains in northern Corsica. Chantal the owner was warm and welcoming and very helpful. Small cafe and epicerie (limited stock) close by, where the atmosphere is very convivial (Chez Margot). Be prepared to negotiate narrow, winding roads and to take your time getting anywhere. Calvi, Ile Rousse and St Florent all just over an hour away; St Antonino and other pretty villages near at hand....
