This hotel is in a great location on a quiet street within walking distance of many of the sites in Arles . The rooms are well appointed and spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. All in all, a great place to stay!
If you like quaint with loads of personality this place is for you. Very authentic French feel. Clean and comfortable. Our room had a newly renovated bathroom in a turret like room! Breakfast in their secluded outdoor patio was a real find! The owners and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Really the only negs were that they didnt check me in early and the neighbor was a bit noisy.

The furniture in the room is a bit run down (except the bathroom which has been recently remodeled) but you can't be the location, directly across from the Musee Reattu on a very quiet street near the river. The buffet breakfast is a standout, so good. The staff was nice enough but did not give enough info.

Thank you for your nice review
We are sorry to hear that we didn't give you enough informations , we are always at the desk so we should have been very happy if you asked us more questions
We hope to see you a next time Best regards
Excellent location and everything fine with the hotel except for two items. Firstly the advertised parking at the hotel was not available; explanation 'full'. Street parking is next to impossible as no spaces and the nearest multi-story car park is more than a mile away. Secondly there is no lift and the stairs to the 3rd floor are steep and there is no assistance with the luggage.

Thank you for your nice review
We know that stairs are not very easy but we are in a seventeen century house and we are not allow to put a lift and we are also very sorry !
for the parkings the free parking is about 800 meters from the hotel but there are lots of public spots very close
we are sorry that you didn't find any spot not too far but Arles is also a very old city and we know that it's not easy to drive and to park
however we hope to see a next time
best regards
The location is very handy and the staffs are very friendly.

Short Break in Arles
I wanted to stay in Arles for five nights and needed a hotel to use as a convenient base to see the city and to travel to nearby cities such as Avignon. The Hotel du Musee is about a ten minute walk from the train station. Arles is a compact city so all of the main attractions are close together part from the excellent museum of ancient Arles which is a walk along the river. The hotel is close to several nice restaurants and bars
The hotel is located in a narrow one way street which is noisy during the day but quiet after dark.
The hotel is what you would expect from its classification but I've stayed in more uncomfortable hotels with three and four stars. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. An excellent breakfast is available in a small breakfast room or in the beautiful courtyard. The food and drinks are constantly replenished. The hotel is spotlessly clean.
If I were staying again perhaps I would book a bigger room away from the street side.
The location is wonderful and very up to date but we were stuck on the third floor up 3 narrow staircases- there were steps that were not well lit and almost caused injury. Difficult to get to through narrow streets. Overall good but definitely did not exceed or meet expectations. My wife and I are both fit but going up and down the staircases (especially on s rainy day when the first stairs are outside) was very annoying.
The rooms were very clean and nicely finished. The bath room had all the amenities and the shower was very good. The outdoor area was lovely and inviting to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. I highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is well located in Arles next to major tourist attractions. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The service was a disappointing. We were not shown to our room for example. Parking was very expensive- 40€ per day. There is a shady courtyard and plenty of places to sit.
Nice surprise - really well maintained and clean hotel with working air conditioning! Parking is up the street and you must pay for it :( was a drawback. Also, breakfast was expensive for what you got. We just walked to the coffee shop up the street and brought back coffee and croissants then ate them on the beautiful terrace.
Very happy, this hotel does everything right, well located for local attractions, good breakfast if you like warm croissants, on site owner Laurence is friendly and helpful, great courtyard, clean with good wifi
While staying in Arles, one of our group of 4 became ill and had to go to the hospital. The owners were very helpful to us. It was very much appreciated. My room was comfortable, quiet and spacious. Only problem was no elevator and walking up 3 flights of stairs. I would stay there again.
I had an enjoyable time in Arles. The hotel is being in a convenient location in town and it is very quiet and clean. The staff is very friendly and typical French Breakfast is very healthy I adore the terrace that is very cosy, peaceful and lovely colours of the summer typical in Provence.
The room was very clean and pretty decoration, bathrooms very clean and spacious. Great vegetation and plenty different plants that give a comfortable environment.
Full of character hotel in historic city. We enjoyed a modern spacious suite. Close to centre for restaurants and a very short walk to the Rhone. Very good breakfast which could be enjoyed inside or outside in a beautiful courtyard. Access to the hotel by car is an issue. The single track road outside the hotel has a barrier which the hotel can lower, as access to the centre of the City is restricted. You can stop for a short while outside the hotel to off-load and pick up luggage. There are a number of pay car parking areas near by. We walked along the side of the Rhone for no more than 10 minutes to park for free at the Railway Station Car Park
Beautiful place especially flower-covered patios!!
This was an exceptionally enjoyable stay. The outdoor patios were beautiful and an excellent setting for a great breakfast with fresh baguettes and croissants, fruit and cold cuts, coffee. I enjoyed soft boiling my own eggs. The staff/owners were very friendly and accommodating and helped us find a place to park our car though there is also a garage available. The room had new showers. Glad that we booked for 3 days!!
A lovely updated room in the old quarter. Great restaurants and old Roman sites. Free parking at the train station, 10 minute walk. One of the most charming towns in Provence.
Quiet street, bed firm, comfortable, room very clean, staff helpful, breakfast ample and served in a charming dining room.

Comfortable stay. The hotel had a pleasant feel to it.
Breakfast was very good and the outdoor breakfast area was very pleasant.
No bathroom fan was my only complaint.
Well positioned, close to the river in the old part of town. Didn't bring car to the hotel, parked in central parking off the rue des Lices. Breakfast was very good, ate inside but nice courtyard.
Lots to see and do in Arles. Buy a ticket to get into several sites.
Very nice unique family run hotel in an old villa with a lovely central courtyard. Very helpful staff. Room 11 on 3rd floor had a very small shower. Noisy if window open but when shut OK, Recently renovated. Air con and flat TV screen. Arles is a small town and signs to the hotel everywhere and was easy to find. Problem is that you cannot drive directly to the hotel as the alley to the hotel is blocked. You need to park and get the hotel to open the block.
great place. wonderful breakfast and coffee! everything was within walking distance. owners were so helpful to us since we had not explored france on our own before. the best hotel of our 3 week trip and rates were reasonable.
I had a delightful stay at the Hotel du Musee. The owners are on the premises & extremely helpful & accommodating. The building was built several hundred years ago as a private residence, & has been renovated beautifully. It has a nice dining room with a good breakfast buffet, and a beautiful 2-story interior courtyard. It is an easy walk to all of the historic sites in Arles. Parking was difficult (I ended up using a garage about 15 minutes walk from the hotel).
What a fantastic hotel. The French have this wonderful knack of turning a very old building into a sexy, chic desirable place to be. I would love to go back to Arles and Hotel Musee
Friendly and helpful staff. Loved our room overlooking the courtyard, quiet and restful. Very nice breakfast offered which we had each of the 3 days we stayed. Convenient to train station, sights and great restaurants.
A poor 2 star hotel, clearly overpriced for what it offers. For 80 euros (without breakfast, 97 euros with breakfast for two).
We were given room number 5 and it was the worst room I ever stayed. The only good thing I can say about the room is that it was clean. But the stairs you have to climb were not and had a bad smell.
Breakfast was well for the price, considering what you pay in a cafeteria in Place du Forum, for instance.
The hotel is in the centre of Arles (a very abandoned historical centre), but the street is closed to traffic and its difficult to reach by car
