"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay (2 nights). We enjoyed playing billiards each evening after coming back from dinner. The breakfast offering was so nice and provided a great start to our day. Very peaceful and quiet. Steve was great!"

"The Refined Retreat: Exactly what this couple was looking for. At a very reasonable price. Our needs were fully met. Beyond that, it’s literally a fun place to stay.First and perhaps foremost, the King Bed in the loft was superb. We’ve traveled extensively. And after all of these years of travel, it’s literally the best rental bed we’ve ever had. (Full Disclosure: It was just the two of us, so we never used the sofa bed.)As others have noted, the many small touches were also greatly appreciated. The “Hanging Cube” light fixture always brought a smile to our faces. Flip a switch, you’ve got an appealing small fireplace. In doubt as to how to operate the washer & dryer? The owners posted concise instructions resolving such doubts.BTW, all of the appliances were up to date & working well. Not always the case with rental properties. With the well stocked kitchen we had everything we needed to prepare the food we purchased at the close by Wegman’s.Spot on recommendation for the nearby Labyrinth Restaurant. Excellent Vegetarian Food. Personally I don’t limit my dining to veggie dishes. But the food was so good we went back for a second meal later in the week.Text communications with Owner Cindy went very smoothly. That said, the unit is so thoughtfully set up there wasn’t much communication needed.Note that a security light illuminates the driveway for returns after dark. Very helpful & much appreciated.Grade For The Refined Retreat? A!Peter B."

"Breakfast wasn’t included in price at $192.00 a night because I booked thru Expedia. Also cleaning staff didn’t come back after early morning refusal until we notified the front desk. Beds are too firm."

"The property was amazing!! The host had everything we thought we needed and even things we didn’t know we needed. The host was available if we needed him. The cabin was cozy the game room was fun. We had an excellent time staying there."
