"Some reviews on this and other websites suggest the owner to be unfriendly. At first he was. We arrived for check-in at 16.30 to be told curtly that we had to check-in before 15.00 or after 18.00 because they were closed between these times - yes, like we should have known this because such information is on the website (no it isn't)! - but he then checked us in because he was there and then kindly explained local walks and sites and was very friendly. The rooms are on the whole cleanish, but...
