"Great property with clean rooms and easy access. The staff were very helpful and the cleaning person was very quick and approachable when we asked for extra supplies! We would DEFINITELY stay again during our next visit to the area. (Loved the retro microwave and useful kitchenette)"

"I stayed solo for a few days at the beautiful Plantation house. I stayed in the library room, which was gorgeous and had a beautiful porch to sit on outside. The room had a very comfortable and huge bed! Breakfast was amazing too! Every morning a beautiful, healthy breakfast to start your day off right!! The loccatipn of the house is superb. A close (5min)walk to downtown Port Hope. Lots of adorable shops and great food to enjoy. The river is great to admire as well. Lovely time, and a beautiful place to stay. I highly recommend. Rose, it was a pleasure staying at your beautiful home. Thank you for your great care and hospitality."

"The rooms are impeccably clean. As a motel, I was delighted to see the level of care the owners take. The only little issues about our stay was the lack of hot water, it was luke warm at best and he blowdryer was broken. Now my query is if you have two queen beds, why is the hotel charging for an extra guest if we were 3? I always thought you paid for the room.and not the occupancy."

"Our stay on Rice Lake with Adam and Bev was absolutely phenomenal and our group looks forward to coming back next year.From the beginning, the hosts were extremely communicative and accommodating during our booking and stay, especially when it came to being pet friendly and helping us navigating questions about accessibility for our friend on crutches. Bev met our group at the marina and was so helpful getting us, all of our gear, and our dogs onto the boat, over to the island, and off the boat, which was especially appreciated by the one friend on crutches. She gave us a detailed tour of the cottage, the property, and all the activities we could do, like using the watertoys like the kayaks and paddles, building a fire, or watching movies in the living room. The cottage was spotless, very private, and had everything a stay would need, including super comfortable beds. Bev was also kind enough to leave a welcome basket of snacks and local beers that our group raved about!An absolute highlight was the water, which was the perfect temperature for swimming, and the dock having a shaded corner to hang out in during the day. The sunsets were unbeatable which could be watched from the dock or up at the cottage, and stargazing from the dock and the fire pit at night was amazing."
