We loved how quick the drive was to the zoo, our main reason for visiting the area! It was also within walking distance to some great antique shops and restaurants!
Home is very clean inside. Needs some cleaning up on the side porch. King size bed is very comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom are nice. Good place for a small group.
I walked with the stroller to downtown and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. We had the smokehouse for dinner and breakfast at a delicious nearby diner.

The property itself will take you by surprise. Once you step inside its so cozy and still so elegant. The living room tv is massive and great picture, and the living room suit was something i wish i had at home! The bed must have been one of those space mattresses because ive never slept so sound. 10/10 will re visit
Great location, can walk to several eateries, a brewery, and a tap house. We came down to play Tot Hill Farm and it was a nice 12-minute drive. Will definitely try to stay here again next time we play Tot Hill and other area courses. Highly recommend Holly Ridge.
Nice renovations, clean, comfortable
We were pleased with the accommodations. The house is in a pretty quiet area, it is very nice, and not far from the zoo. We had an amazing time with our 6 yr old granddaughter! Owner of the house was easy to get a hold of and really nice. Would recommend and would stay again. Thanks!!
Ideal location for a trip to the zoo! It was about a 10 minute drive from the house to the zoo. Plenty of options for a quick bite to eat. Had plans to explore the downtown area but didn’t realize most places were closed on Sunday.
House was clean and host was extremely responsive/helpful.
We stayed at this cozy location while staying locale to visit the zoo.
It is exactly as advertised. It is off the Main Street of the older part of town, which is quaint and not too busy. It is also right around the corner from a coffee shop!!!
Will definitely stay here again if when we head back to visit Seagrove or go to the zoo again.

We stayed one night so we could get an early start to the Zoo the next day. Very pleased with this cute duplex unit. The owner was very nice & helpful. Clean & well stocked with towels, sheets, blankets, dishes coffee. Comfortable beds & a big sofa for all 5 adults to watch tv. Would absolutely stay here again. We really enjoyed it.
We are moving from MD to SC and needed a place to stay for a few days and needed somewhere to relax. Exactly what this offered. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Family if 5 fit perfect and great for the price.
Convenient location to downtown shops, local parks, stores, restaurants, only 10 minutes from the Zoo, and 30 minutes to additional activities in Greensboro.
Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the kitchen and large screen TV.
While the neighborhood view and yard aren't spectacular, we weren't expecting them to be, and it didnt impact our vacation experience. We really enjoyed lounging in the front patio rockers.
For the price, location, and great service, this property was spot on for our 3 night vacation.

Honest Review!
Location was great for the zoo! Driving up was a little concerning but was perfect for 1 night. Very close drive or walking distance from restaurants and a beautiful park. The furniture was very very worn and broken. The couch has been broken and repaired and was not comfortable to sleep on. The blow up and sheets were found in the closet but difficult to know if they were clean or not. They were just balled up in there. We did have an issue with check in and communication with owner was just ok as we waited about 5 mins for response at check in when code was not working and then didn’t hear again from them until many hours later. The emergency number we were told to call did not answer calls or texts and VM was not an option after instructed to leave VM. Wall’s are very thin and you can hear every car pass.

Ok
Good location, good price. Could have been a little cleaner. Dishwasher didn’t work. Also, exterminator walked in on my family the first day early in the morning..then later that same day the cleaning crew walked in… understand there was a miscommunication but for sure made the rest of our stay a bit unsettled. Might have a few kinks to work Out but overall ok

This property was just perfect for a Zoo trip! It’s in the middle of town and so convenient for all needs. The only thing I might complain about was the temperature in the house. It took a really long time for the house to cool off when we got there. Given, we did stay in the middle of summer, outside was averaging in the high 80’s and my family likes a cool house. This may not bother anyone else! Maybe add a ceiling fan in the living room? Other than that, it was a great stay!

Misleading
The 2nd bedroom was located in the laundry room/storage closet in the very back of the house. You had to walk through the main bedroom if you needed to go into the living room or bathroom… it was creepy to say the least. My husband and I slept on the couch, which was super comfortable, however the walls are so thin we heard EVERY car that passed by. The glasses had water marks on them like they hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were splatters of something on the floor in the kitchen. Ant traps on the kitchen counter! (never saw ants). the front lawn was way overgrown. I would not recommend this place as it was very misleading. We didn’t even stay our 2nd night and found a room elsewhere.
Location: this house is located near downtown Asheboro, even close enough to walk to the main strip. I walked to Magnolia for dinner one night. Its adjacent to a road that is the one of the main routes to downtown and resultant of that you will hear traffic. However if you like to people watch the front porch will be entertaining.
House: the house could have used a good cleaning prior to our arrival. There were visable dust bunnies behind the bathroom door, under furniture and behind the bed. The washing machine and dishwasher were non-operable. The WiFi password was written on the chalk board but we were unable to connect to it. The TV had apps for streaming, but we were unable to use those due to the WiFi connection issues so we watched local channels. The bed was comfortable and my wife loved the circular couch thing. There was a leak on the shower head that was "repaired" with camo duct tape.

Good for a short stay, but needs a deep cleaning.
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. It’s a convenient spot for short stays like zoo trips and visiting surrounding attractions. The house pretty much looks like the online photos, but there are two things that just didn’t sit well with me.
1) A deep cleaning, even just a more thorough cleaning, is long overdue. There was so much food around and under the couch that I shuddered to retrieve the remote when it fell on the floor. Lots of dust in the bathroom. There are tons of smudges and handprints on all the doors that a quick swipe of a magic eraser would do wonders.
2) Check the windows because they were all unlocked!! It was a little unnerving to be honest. I checked them all and locked them. The window sills are also very dirty and the blinds so old that they were tough to work with.
The neighborhood is ok. Lots of cars with loud music at night but no real foot traffic. It is conveniently just a few blocks away from the quaint downtown area with good restaurants and shops.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was super cozy - great sectional and chair. We really loved the fact it was so close to the downtown area. We spent a good bit of time walking around town. Thank you!
