Modern Cabin with Hot Tub | Creek | Views | Firelight at Shope Creek
This rustic modern cabin is located on 22 acres of wooded and creekside property in the beautiful Shope Creek area of east Asheville, NC. The newly renovated large four bedroom log cabin is nestled on a south facing slope minutes from Pisgah National Forest access roads and parking lots, where hiking and biking trails are plentiful. Downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Warren Wilson College are also only 15-20 minutes away. Get the best of both worlds at Shope Creek with a mix of vibrant city attractions and the natural beauty that makes the western NC so famous. There are 7 newly built 650 square foot cabins on the property available for rent as well!
The house is equipped with two wood burning fire places and a built in fire pit by the clear rushing creek. The newly constructed 900 square foot deck has a covered outdoor dining area and a hot tub where you can enjoy the beautiful mountain views and the unobstructed night sky.
The cabin has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The large master suite has a king bed, a private full bathroom and walk in closet, wood burning fireplace and a 37 inch flat screen smart tv. The other three roomy bedrooms are each equipped with queen beds and share a full bathroom with a dual claw foot soaking tub and shower. The kitchen is well equipped with all new appliances, blender, coffee maker, microwave.
Wifi is provided, along with two smart TV's and a phone. This area of Asheville has inconsistent cell phone service, so a phone with long distance service is provided for our guests.
The main floor of the home has an eat in kitchen, living room, dining room and a sitting area perfect for settling in with your favorite book. The stacked washer and dryer is also conveniently located on the main floor.
The cabin is located in the gorgeous Shope Creek area of Asheville minutes from hiking and biking trails, but also just ten minutes to Whole Foods and other in town conveniences. In addition, the property is surrounded by the bold Shope Creek and has a logging road behind the house that is perfect for long hikes up into the forest. The sound of the rushing creek can be heard from the deck and several of the bedrooms adding to the relaxing feel of this property.

We enjoyed our stay! Location was perfect! Very quiet but close to Asheville! Shari & Amy were awesome! Loved the fresh eggs, wine and truffles waiting for us when we arrived! The house was very clean and well maintained! We loved the hot tub and enjoyed hanging out on the big deck! I would definitely visit again!
Very peaceful and relaxing location. Built into a steep hill overlooking many smaller rentals at firelightcabins. Windows and patio look out to beautiful green foliage in the spring. Great deck, but not much yard space directly adjacent to property. But lots of land to explore near the lower cabins and a great shared pavilion w fireplace. Near beautiful hiking trails, but a bit of a winding narrow drive just 20 mins outside of downtown Asheville. Was great for our 40-something girls weekend, but may be a few too many stairs for some.
We were so impressed with this house and host. From hand written letters, to wine, fresh eggs, cream, breakfast with mimosas and the beautiful landscape, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Property is exactly as pictured. The house is well maintained and decorated so cute. The hosts added several personal touches which was super nice. We would definitely stay here again.
Great time! Power went out for a bit with some cleanup from the flooding last year, but communication from the host was top notch in giving us updates and they reimbursed a portion of the second night without any prompting from our end. Beautiful home and beautiful setting.
We were only there for 3 nights, but the cabin was just as described. We really enjoyed our stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Great cabin with everything needed, and the communication was excellent. Definitely did not have cell phone coverage, but that was noted prior to our booking and we enjoyed that as well.

Clean, cozy and cute cabin
Enjoyed a weekend getaway with 4 couples. Perfect space for hanging out. Everyone was in love with the decor and the property inside and out. Kitchen was well equipped to make our meals. Loved the fireplace in the living room and the hot tub on the deck. Hoping to stay here again. Highly recommend!!
We had a great stay - we especially enjoyed the well stocked kitchen (a rental with a great spice drawer?! amazing!) and the hot tub. Great location just far enough out to feel like a getaway but close enough to Asheville and Black Mountain to enjoy the sights. Very close to Warren Wilson which was wonderful for this alumni group. Thank you so much, I hope to return!
This property was beautiful inside and equipped with everything we needed! The beds were so comfortable and robes were provided for quick trips in and out of the hot tub. Amy and Shari were so responsive and a delight to correspond with. My daughter loved visiting the chicken coop at the end of the road each day! Wonderful and relaxing stay!
Our stay was absolutely perfect. This lovely rental was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a getaway in Asheville. Surrounded by lush trees on nearly all sides, the rental felt tucked away and secluded. All the while, it was only a short drive from everything downtown Asheville has to offer. Every single detail was thought through in the decor and feel of this beautiful space! We couldn’t more highly recommend staying there!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was nestled into the mountains but was very close to hiking sites and Asheville attractions. The home was spacious and comfortable and well equipped. We loved it and had a great time.
We enjoyed our trip and this cabin is beautifully decorated and has plenty of seating and rooms for large groups or small. Beds are so comfortable and nice touches like robes in the rooms to use. Highly recommend this place. We also had farm fresh eggs waiting in fridge for us and wine. Very nice
Beautiful and comfortable cabin. Fun deck with a nice hot tub and outdoor seating for dinner it games. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. Nice towels. Pretty fresh flowers from the property in vases around the house. Not too far from most hiking and in town activities. Kitchen was stocked with any items needed for meal prep. Would definitely recommend to others!
My family- grandma, 3 adult children and 3 children ages 3&6 stayed here. It was wonderful. We spent a lot of time on the large deck-great for the kids to run around and play on. We equally enjoyed the hot tub, s’mores at the fire pit, playing in the stream and hiking the old logging road. We never thought about leaving the property. The house is spotless and well equipped. There is plenty of room for everyone. The owners are responsive and helpful. I hope to rent again.
We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for the family and very quiet and private. Loved the hot tub! Owners were super kind and responsive to our needs. Would definitely come back!
Our stay was wonderful! Plenty of room for 3 couples. Kitchen was well equipped to cook dinner in every night! Hosts were wonderful with communication and we loved exploring the property. Note that the trail down to the firepit at Shope Creek is a little steep but we enjoyed taking the long way down the drive. Plenty of towels and pillows! Very close to the Ingles and only a 15 min trip to downtown. Thanks for having us!
This property was perfect for our kid-free weekend with friends. There were great local restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive and a well stocked kitchen for the nights we cooked. The view from the porch was beautiful, and we loved the trail behind the house! The cabin was clean and offered a great safe option for a getaway during the pandemic. We can’t wait to return!
Beautiful cabin and surroundings with modern amenities. Plenty of towels and wine provided. Owner was quick to respond with any questions. Will book again.
The house and surrounding forest are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all of the very comfortable modern amenities. The proximity to attractions is great but you still feel like you're really out in the woods here. You can quickly be in downtown Asheville, on the Blue Ridge pkwy or drive to the end of the road to pick up a pristine trailhead that crosses over creeks through magical forests. My young boys loved looking for crayfish and salamanders in the creek that runs through the property and the adults loved sitting in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The outdoor dining table strung with string lights was a great setting for our meals.
The cabin was decorated extraordinarily...exactly as in the pictures. It was beautiful. We got much needed relaxation. Kitchen had everything you could need if cooking in. We saw lots of wildlife...including a bear off the back deck. An amazing place to stay. Would definitely book again.
Even better than the photos! The location of the property was secluded enough to feel relaxing but 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and hiking. In addition to being well-designed, the house was very livable and the layout favorable for our family of four - cozy enough in the hot tub and deck (plenty of towels provided for bath and hot tub) but room to spread out. The little reading nook off the dining room was my favorite quiet spot. We ate most meals under the roofed pergola which was perfect during evening sprinkles. My only regret is that we didn’t make use of the gorgeous dining room. So many little touches that demonstrate the owners care for their property. Would absolutely come back!
This mountain getaway was perfect for our family of 5. Spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated inside with some rustic chic touches. Close enough to town to make grocery and takeout runs without sacrificing its country charm. We loved coming “home” after a fun day of hiking (black balsam knob and rainbow falls to the southwest and Mt. Mitchell and the deep gap trail to the northeast were some highlights, each about an hour’s drive away through the gorgeous blue ridge parkway) to relax in the hot tub while taking in the mountain view. A bottle of wine awaiting us upon arrival was a nice touch. Thanks Shari & Amy for a great stay.
