The property was awesome and the host was amazing. We had plenty of room for all of us to stay. The place was very clean and the swinging beds on the porch were awesome. We enjoyed the hot tub after our long hikes to relax our muscles. I would totally recommend this place to stay and hopefully we will be back some day.
This was my second time staying at this house and it does not disappoint. It feels private and secluded, but also still close to restaurants and activities. A wonderful respite after a long day of hiking or site seeing!
We had an amazing stay at the Hideaway! The house is even more spectacular in person, awesome amenities, great location, friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Hideout". My husband and I along with 2 other couples had plenty of room, loved the hot tub and view of the surrounding mountains. Close to Asheville and the Biltmore, but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful getaway. Property owner was attentive and welcoming, I highly recommend the "Hideout" !
We had a lovely stay in Fairview. Frank was attentive & responded quickly to any needs. Loved the tour of the farm & seeing the animals. The house was clean & in a great location close to Asheville & Chimney Rock.
Girls weekend in the mountains! All 6 of us loved this house. Tons of space, great beds, beautiful environment. We loved the hot tub, screen porch, and amazing interior decor. We all slept really well and enjoyed the quiet of being in the mountains.
Visiting Asheville for the first time for my wife’s birthday. Frank was very responsive and helpful with great recommendations on things to do in the area. The property was fantastic, very private, serene with all the amenities we could hope for. We will definitely be back!
The house was wonderful. We were surrounded by nature yet close to hiking, downtown, etc. Frank was wonderful and made the check-in process very easy. House was perfect. We loved the wrap around porch.
We had a few days to get away, hoping to catch some fall color. The Hideout was a perfect place for my family and I to get away to. Centrally located, very clean, and spacious. The layout of the cabin was perfect for our group. The bed swings on the back porch were a hit!
Looking to come back and spend more time visiting the area and will definitely consider staying here again.
The home was super clean and just lovely. It had great architectural features. Very spacious with awesome screened in living areas. We felt very immersed in nature there. Frank was wonderful and met us at the house to explain how to enjoy it the most. He was very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had during our stay there.i can’t recommend this place enough!
Fantastic location, fantastic house. The house was close enough to town to buy groceries but felt out in the woods and private. Ride share was available to downtown Asheville for us to enjoy the many breweries. Frank was a great host, house was perfect.
This home and location was THE most perfect stay and experience I’ve ever had with VRBO. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. Host supplied us with fresh eggs! Can’t wait to return! We all LOVED it!!!!! 0 complaints.
Our stay here was fantastic! Frank was wonderful from start to finish.
The house is gorgeous, spacious, clean, and private. We had 3 couples, all with plenty of space to ourselves, but also plenty of common areas to spend time together.
The house was a great location, about 15-20 minutes from Biltmore & downtown.
We will definitely be back!
Frank the owner was great. Easy check in. Fresh eggs in the fridge. Easy 20 minutes to Asheville.
Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. House is beautiful. Loved the wrap around porch. Would absolutely stay here again.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Close to Asheville and not too far from anything we wanted to do. The house was excellent - clean, private, good surrounding area. The owner, Frank, was excellent to deal with and provided some great tips and an introduction to the house itself. Horseback riding with Annie was a highlight for our kids. Will return.
Such a beautiful house! Frank, the property manager was so nice and even left us fresh eggs in the fridge. The house was perfect in so many ways! Beautiful wrap around porch with twin beds, hot tub, outdoor fire pit and all the kitchen stuff you need to cook. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there again next time we’re in the area.
The house was absolutely wonderful. All essentials were provided throughout the home and the house was clean and cozy. The hanging beds on the porch and hot tub helped provide the respite our group was after. We also had fresh eggs waiting for us in the fridge, which was the cherry on top. Frank was a great host.
I travelled with my four teenage children and had a lovely week. There was plenty of room for everyone when they needed their own space and great places to connect as a family playing games, sharing meals, and watching movies. It was a quick drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, where we enjoyed several days of hiking. The owner set us up with a wonderful horseback ride on a local farm. We enjoyed a day at the Biltmore and explored Asheville for an afternoon. Would definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this vacation home. The home it self is gorgeous and cozy! It was super clean upon our arrival and it smelled so good!!! The decor and entire home is stunning! We really enjoyed the swinging beds on the porch! Life is good at The Hideout!
Everything you need is within driving distance. There are several restaurants close by and a grocery store. Frank is a wonderful host!!! Our only regret is that we did not stay longer!
We did use this home as a point to get in and around Asheville. We went to the Biltmore and did the Lake Lure tour. Both highly recommend!
The location itself is great! Quick trip into Asheville, or east drive to Chimney Rock, as well as grocery stores, brewery, etc, all very close.
Our first day there we even had a black bear walk down the driveway and wonder off into the wood’s surrounding the house!
The only thing I would call out is the VERY steep & curvey driveway. It can be intimidating, and may scare people not familiar with mountain homes. Just take your time and you’ll be fine, it’s not that bad.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
We came here for my husband’s birthday with 2 other couples. The cabin is immaculate! It was beautiful and had everything we needed. Frank was a great host and even brought us more eggs. Something to note, the driveway is really steep but no one had issues getting up or down as long as we kept moving. Also, we read reviews that people had no issues getting an Uber from or to the cabin into Asheville however we did have some issues and were also stranded at Whistle Hop brewery for an hour when our Ubers kept canceling. Eventually, all was fine but maybe plan ahead for that. I would 100% recommend staying here. We will be back when we come back to Asheville! Thank you for your hospitality!
