The Forest Door-The LAP of LUXURY in the HEART of Tryon-NEW apt above Harmon Fie

This lovely studio apartment is a special place-private, quiet, comfortable, surrounded by trees and nature, and decorated with style and flair. Located right above Harmon Field on the outskirts of Tryon, and convenient to just about everything, this oasis feels a hundred miles away from it all. The window views make it feel like a tree-house, and the natural stone walls bring to mind a Mediterranean taverna. Perfect for a solo trip and room for a couple (and can work with a small child).

The kitchenette has all you need for quick and easy meals. Fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, high end hot plate, , coffee maker, full sink and complete dishware. The studio is very spacious, and if you have a child, the futon sofa is perfect.

Guests can park up in the top driveway area, where it is easier to maneuver. The apartment is very private and secluded from the main house entrances.

We are in the house attached, and can answer any questions you may have. We leave you to your independence, or will interact if it is appropriate. You are the guests and the time here belongs to you....

We have a nice walking circuit, right out the front door, which takes you through the woods. Harmon Field is a 2 minute walk down the lane, with multiple sports amenities.

For stays of 1-20 days, we add a cleaning for $65. For stays or 20-30 days, we add 2 cleanings at $65 per. Thank you. Launder services available, but no W/D within the space.

Relaxing Spring weekend in Tryon

Monica provided excellent communication before and during my stay. Directions to the property were perfect and every thing I needed for a comfortable, relaxing weekend was provided. The property is nestled in a wooded development, it’s quiet and the bed was divinely comfortable. If your soul and body need a “recharge,” this is the place to go!

Charming mountain gem

The advertised pictures captured my attention but seeing this mountain gem in person was everything and more than expected. The Forest Door is a cozy and comfortable apartment that’s also beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for a family Christmas in Tryon. Little slice of heaven

This property is located in a beautiful wooded setting that makes it feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere…but you’re not! It’s peaceful and serene and the unit itself has a rustic, European feel to it but with all the things you need. The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating! I will absolutely stay here again if I find myself in need of a place to stay in the Tryon area.

Beautiful and Relaxing

My husband and I went away for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Monica has done a wonderful job making the space not only lovely to look at but also very comfortable and relaxing. Although there isn't an oven, there are plenty of appliances to make simple food and coffee/tea. She was great at reaching out to answer any questions or help if needed. We had the best weather, the trees were so colorful and we enjoyed hiking and exploring the area.

Very cute place. The owners did a great job decorating and outfitting the rooms. It is very off the beaten path but the directions were good. It does not have a fully equipped kitchen - microwave but no over or range - which was okay with us but could surprise renters expecting to prepare food.

Perfect Retreat

Off the beaten path but easy to get to, this place is as quiet as it can be. Tastefully decorated, every detail has been taken care of. Very clean and cozy. It's in the lower level of a spectacular home but once in the private entrance you won't know it. You feel as if you are in a stone cottage in the middle of the woods. We will be back!

A Magical Place

My husband and I really enjoyed our one-night visit there. Monica and Roger are fantastic! Monica kept us informed about a bridge collapsed near her property and gave us specific instructions so we could arrive safely using an alternate route. The place is charming, quiet and beautiful! The bed is super comfortable. I had an uninterrupted sleep for 8 hours, which is very rare. We will definitely return when we are in the area.
