The service was phenomenal, any questions we may have had were answered with efficiency & the room was beautiful, much larger than I expected as well as the waterfall shower being a wonderful surprise! I was thrilled when I learned they had fire pits & wood available for guests right on the water. Another positive point was not being able to hear outside noise from inside the room. My only critique would be the elevator was slightly confusing at first & not the fastest but I was willing to overlook that considering everything else about the stay was phenomenal.

We did not receive information for contactless check in. Sitting in the parking lot 8;25 pm I called twice and it went to voicemail. A message on FB got results. Was sent the code and got access to our room. The room (Sailor's Retreat) was fabulous. Beautifully furnished, lots of room, balcony overlooking Lake Superior. The huge shower had a regular showerhead plus a rainfall one. Bed was very comfortable. Chairs to relax in, good lighting and plenty of USB plugs and electrical outlets. Coffee, creamer, glassware, wine opener provided. Plenty of towels and soap, shampoo, conditioner, qtips, cottonballs in bathroom. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay right in the banks of Lake Superior.

We absolutely loved our stay! Staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. Our room was adorable and the view of Lake Superior took my breath away. We can’t wait to go back. One of the best hotel stays we have had in awhile!

This place is beautiful. It was even more amazing in person than in pictures. The views of Lake Superior were so amazing to wake up to. Staff was very kind and helpful. My favorite thing was the amazing shower. Honestly it was the best shower of my life once I figured out that there was a shower head almost 10 feet above my head. It was all a top notch experience.

The architecture of the building allows you to feel you are in an ultra-private and quiet lakeside location even though it's situated right on US Hwy 2. I live in Ashland and booked this as a surprise staycation for my partner for Valentine's Day, and it was perfect. The room was cozy with the fireplace; the bar space was ample for setting up a light dinner, and Lake Superior was visible from every point in the room while neighbors were not. This may become a yearly tradition for us!

Years ago I took a tour of this place, I said to myself, someday I’m going to stay here. Last night was the night. We were the only ones staying here, so it was quiet. We had room 3, it’s really nice. I would highly recommend staying here.

The view out the window was all lake superior, no land. It was awesome leaving the window open at night, and all you hear is the waves coming to shore.

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The shower was amazing. They definitely went above and beyond with every amenity you could need. Great communication and instructions that made checking in and out seamless.

This hotel was a splurge for my very modest budget, but it was worth it. This place was adorable, clean, and so comfortable! I was traveling off season, so the check in, restaurant, and outfitters hours were a little limited, but not terribly. They still made every reasonable effort to make me feel welcomed and safe. I have absolutely nothing negative to say.
