Beautiful property, attentive hosts and serenity everywhere you look. Thank you for an amazing vacation. Our entire family enjoyed our stay and roaming the property with its many amenities. Looking forward to our next stay ❤️
We loved staying here at this farmhouse! The views of the vally and mountains were gorgeous! The host was fabulous and was very easy to contact via text. We made good use of the jacuzzi but the pool water was too cold for us Floridians. The location is great, easy car ride to beautiful Ashland.
We had a great time in Ashland. This house has a great layout for a multigenerational trip. There are places to come together and places to have some quiet time. Our host was responsive and very helpful. Check in and check out were easy. Thanks again for having us!
Wonderful stay. Large space great for families. Beautiful vistas. Plenty of equipment for activities including pool, bocce ball, horseshoes, basketball and bbq. Ferruginous hawks, owls, quails. Lots of nice little touches in the farmhouse. Easy to communicate with owners. Would highly recommend.
Ladies from our family come together once a year. We loved swimming in the pool. It was easy to access. There were three full bathrooms which were clean and good water pressure. The view from the house is gorgeous. The owners were very helpful and available. I would highly r recommend renting this lovely home.
The outside and property are fantastic. Lots of room to roam and enjoy the view of Ashland and mountains. We loved sipping our coffee by the gas firepit and watching the birds. The inside is roomy and has space for three couples and a couple of kids. An easy 2.2 mile drive to the theater.
The place was perfect for our family trip - location, amenities and communication were great. The internet went out but there was so much else to do it didn’t bother us, and the host made a major effort to help resolve it. Only consideration is that the window coverings are minimal, so we were all up with the sun.
Overall, great house and wonderful location. 10/10 recommend.
Amelia has done a great job refurbishing this old ranch house, leaving much of the old charm and adding beautiful touches to the inside and outside. We didn't have a chance to use the pool but it was big and clean and added to the ambience. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that we were 8 adult single women trying to fit into 5 actual beds, two of which were twin beds more suited for kids. This place would be better for couples and/or families who could double up in the bedrooms and not mind twin beds and futons. All in all, it provided a great gathering place for lounging and walking.
This was by far the nicest vacation rental we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable, the master suite was luxurious, and the views were breathtaking day and night. We will definitely be back.
The one drawback was the glass door to the master suite. There is a clear view of the bedroom and bathtub from the hallway. Because we were traveling with our children, this made using the bathroom and changing awkward. If not for this, we would not hesitate to give five stars.
What an amazing property with amazing views of Ashland. We felt like we were truly in another world but so close to downtown Ashland as well. The house accommodated the 8 of us quite well and the pool was an amazing plus to our stay. There is something for everyone from Bocci ball, to table tennis to swimming. Or just enjoy the view with a good book on the outside patio.
The house is even better in person than it is in its photos. You would be remiss to not stay at this lovely property. We are looking forward to our next visit in this lovely home. Many thanks for sharing this wonderful home. Until next time…
This was an awesome stay!! The house was spacious & the property stunning. We want to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool (a polar plunge may have happened). It was nice to be able to cook, and there were plenty of knives that were actually sharp. Our kids loved exploring, discovering ripe apples on the trees, visiting the sheep, and the yoga dome. Our dog fetched to her heart’s content—there was even a chuck-it for her slobbery ball. We did come upon a skunk scurrying into a hole in the driveway, and are very grateful that they didn’t meet!! There was enough room for everyone to do their own thing or be together. One suggestion is to have some games or puzzles available at the house—there was a cribbage board but no cards, & scrabble, but nothing else. There were lots of books to curl up with though. One other thing to be aware of, the showers didn’t get very hot or stay hot for very long. Not a problem if one or two people wanted to shower at the same time of day, but more challenging if everyone is on the same shower schedule. We figured out the fireplace, but an instruction sheet would have been helpful as every flue operates a little differently. Beds and pillows were comfy. If you like to sleep in, bring an eye mask. The property is super close to town, but far enough away to feel like you are getting away from it all. Over all, we had a really nice stay and would be excited to come back next time we find ourselves in Ashland.
I surprised my two friends with this getaway. They knew we were going somewhere, that was all. Two and a half hours later, I pulled up to this property, pretending I was lost and needing gps. While I fumbled looking for the email with the entry code to the gate, my friends giggled and wondered out loud what it must be like to stay at a place “like this”. Their jaws dropped as the gate opened. We drove up the driveway onto the beautifully landscaped property while laughter filled the car. We explored and enjoyed every part of this amazing house and property. The creek, pond, distant yurt and layered views of the mountain at every turn was just incredible. Thank you for opening your home for us to enjoy. So beautiful and peaceful. Mahalo.
We chose this place because it could accommodate the whole family (plus a little extra room), was mostly wheelchair accessible, and dog friendly. This property surpassed our expectations! The views are spectacular, from basically anywhere on the property (inside and outside the home). Now, onto the real review with pros and cons, cons first. There are only a few, none are major issues. The ice maker didn't seem to be working (or we did something wrong) and the hot tub was a little tricky to figure out. There wasn't a welcome/instruction book/binder, so we kind had to figure these out on our own. The only TV is in the family room, so plan to all have to agree on what to watch (or bring a tablet for the kids). Oh, and this isn't necessarily a con, just something to know, the coffee cups are standard size (which to a coffee lover like me is small lol). Everything else about this place is a pro! The rooms are all good sized, there are tons of extra linens and towels should you need, as well as extra toilet paper and tissues. The kitchen had everything we needed, even all the BBQ tools. There was all the cook and drinkware needed for a new year's eve filled with good food and fun drinks (including several martini glasses and a shaker so I could experiment). The washer and dryer work great. The showers all had shampoo, conditioner and soap. We had a great time here, and plan to make this a regular get family gathering, and are looking forward to returning!!
We met to celebrate a special family occasion and all of us had everything we needed! Beautiful location, tons to do, host was friendly and very responsive!
What a wonderful retreat! Beautiful property that is close to Ashland and surrounding amenities, but feels a million miles away with the gorgeous landscape and views. We'll be back!
Amazing isolated spot overlooking Ashland. The pool was very refreshing with the hot weather. If you're staying in the primary suite, be aware that there aren't coverings or drapes for all the windows, including in the bath/shower area.Overall, a great retreat for 6-10 people.
