Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. "La Pentera is a new property which has a unique concept of a tree house. The property is quite far from the Udawalawe National Park - about 30 km or so. The directions are also unclear, even if you use googlemaps. The property is new and in great condition. However, there are things that could be better, especially the food. The bathroom has hot water though there is some water leakage. A great experience stay but could be better."

"The Staff were extremely helpful. We got a pot of coffee and tea upon our arrival. The staff also gave us two umbrellas in case we go out in the city and it starts raining. On the day of the checkout, we requested some to-go breakfast and they happily complied. They packed us extra pair of sandwich and a cup full of fruits and some whole fruits as well. Could not have asked for more. Thank You Carnation Rest"
