"This hotel was very nice. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed. My only comment here is that we had requested a river view. There is construction across the river so it wasn't the beautiful view I was expecting. Of course that is not the hotel's fault, but it is worth noting. The staff was wonderful! Very helpful. They have a shuttle to the beginning of the Hakone Loop, which was helpful. We enjoyed the onsen in the hotel, Great place to relax. The restaurant and bar were very good. We had an excellent dinner there. And had their buffet breakfast twice. I would recommend this hotel."

"Suite with bunk beds was great, although room wasn’t super clean. Bathroom sink had layer of grime and visible debris on carpets, couch had a rip in fabric (was difficult to report this to hotel). Nice balcony with room, rooftop terrace was beautiful, onsen great! Check in was a bit limited. You need to add your passport info the day before/prior to arrival, get QR code and code for door. Then on arrival, use iPad scan QR code to talk remotely to a person to verify your id. That seemed to only be available from 3-10pm, so don’t arrive too late. Free drinks, snacks, soft serve icecream between 5-9pm (my kids loved)! Not a ton of restaurants near hotel but did have a family mart across the street. "

"Clean and very spacious room. Very good breakfast. Disappointed that there is no Onsen attendant in the morning. Lost something in the locker room and there was no one to ask about the item. Front desk tried to help the best they could but to no conclusion."

"The outside private onsen is really just big enough for one. The rooms are kind of small. Food is very good and drinks are available for all tastes. I am gold vip and was supposed to get a 5600 yen credit that never materialized. The room price included dinner but they listed credit separately. Apparently this is confusing English translation. I eventually got that the room prices include 5600 yen dinner. Not credit. They should probably clean up the deception in the promotion. Just put bundle price. Otherwise nice hotel and spa. "

"This is a fantastic hotel with so much history. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and the facilities with the onsen, the garden, the bar, the lounge- everything is so lovely. They even upgraded our room view which was very nice. The only odd thing was a particular waitress that were serving us in the Japanese restaurant and also in the breakfast hall the next day. She was insistent on us buying a sake pairing when we didn’t want to. For the breakfast she also insisted we buy the breakfast package even though we had already ordered something else. I also found it odd that she gave us the bill before we had finished eating and she seemed to forget about our breakfast for 40 minutes. Other than that, it was absolutely amazing. The rest of the staff were incredibly accommodating and professional. "

"Close to Gora station. We stayed in the Condo, so it was a separate building to go to the Onsen & lobby/lounge area. We enjoyed evening snack and sweets. We couldn't change the room temperature and asked for help from the hotel and came to find out the temperature couldn't be changed so the room was too warm to sleep comfortably. Over all, we enjoyed our stay."
