This lovingly restored traditional Irish cottage captures the heart and soul of the Irish countryside. With its thick stone walls, the cottage offers an authentic taste of old Ireland, wrapped in comfort and charm. It is set in a private gated large garden on a quiet road within 1km walking distance to the busy village of Athea just off the beaten path. It is a short distance from the heritage market town of Listowel that hosts many festivals, cultural events, pubs and restaurants. Of special note is Listowel’s location on The Wild Atlantic Way, Writers Week, the Listowel Horseracing Meet and access to the Limerick/Kerry Greenway for cycling. Very well situated to several world class golf courses including Ballybunion and Adare. Whether you’re home visiting family, pursuing your athletic interests, seeking adventure or a quiet retreat, you will find this cottage a most welcoming base. Located on the West Limerick/Kerry border it is a gateway to many of Ireland’s most spectacular natural attractions including The Ring of Kerry, Dingle and a short distance to the Tarbert Ferry across the Shannon to the North. Enquire about transportation should you wish stress free touring in a 7 passenger Volvo. Airport pickup can be arranged. If you’re thinking of adding a quick visit to the UK or Europe, nearby airports offer daily flights to London and other European destinations. Just pack your overnight bag and off you go!
