It was a quick overnight, so not much chance to explore. Room was fine; nothing special, but then neither are most Athens hotels. It did have a lovely big balcony which overlooked the swimming pool and ocean; that would have been a big deal to us if we'd had longer! The pool was a good size, plenty sunbeds & shade around it.
The neighbourhood seems like a nice, quiet area. A couple of little tavernas opposite, low-key & friendly. As we normally stay around the Kalamaki / Glyfada area, it was a pleasant contrast not to have the raging traffic noise!
However, it should be noted that the distance from Athens airport stated online is VERY misleading. 8km or so...? Perhaps how the seagull flies - but certainly not any roads! It took us 30-40 mins to get there, even late at night. OK, it didn't help that a grumpy taxi driver had no clue where he was going (we had to use Google Maps on my ipad); but still, it's NOT close-and-easy for a quick airport run.
Apart from that, the guy on the check-in desk was very friendly (in the face of by-now-also-grumpy) arrivals; the rest of the staff were pleasant too. If we were travelling via Rafina, we'd stay there again.
