"I rented the Bulldog Farmhouse for a three week stay in June. One of the best "perks" of the property location was the Sweetie Pie by Savvie bakery that was literally next door. There is a Kroger, Publix, Aldi and Dollar Tree all within walking distance. Less than a mile from the property with sidewalks if you are so inclined. The farmhouse is over 100 years old, but it is equipped with all the latest conveniences. I particularly enjoyed the front porch with the rocking chairs and the back yard sitting area with fire pit. Although in June, we never lit a fire. The grill is a good quality model with multiple burners.The interior is nicely decorated and very clean. The Internet is very fast and there is a Mesh network setup to provide solid connectivity across the entire house. The management company were highly responsive to all of my requests. Staying for three weeks, I requested some additional supplies and they responded to all of my request immediately.The only cons I might mention are the outdoor lawns might need more attention during summer months when it is rainy. We played a number of outdoor yard games on this visit and mowing every two weeks was really not enough. As other reviewers have mentioned, the King room and Twin/Queen rooms are a bit warm in the evening, even with the AC set to 70 degrees. Portable fans would be a good upgrade.Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I will definitely stay here again on future visits to Athens."
