Fantastic little gem in the heart of local Athens
If you like “quirky”, then this place is for you. Well kept old house where many rooms still use skeleton keys and you can eat your provided breakfast in the Hortus conclusus (outside garden). Affordable, clean, comfortable with a very helpful staff. (Always willing to answer my questions) Close to the metro and just about everything one would want to see in Athens!

The property is great for visiting ancient athens and the local area and staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it was very noisy with a bar just outside thats open until 2am every day.

I was not pleased at all with my time at Athens Quinta. While this property has decent ratings on the internet and somehow made it in my travel book, I am shocked guests are able to sleep here comfortably. My single room was quite possibly the noisiest room I have ever stayed in. It is right outside the street. Walls were paper thin, and the hostel was loud well past quiet hours. I could hear every word from the TV program that the front desk was watching, and was woken up throughout the night by people screaming on the street, moto bikes, and guests buzzing in and out of the hostel. I was woken up by noise over 8 times throughout the night. For anyone who is looking to recover from their jet lag, or rest between touring days, DO NOT STAY HERE. Further, staff was rude and slow to respond to my needs, and were not able to accommodate me to a quieter room or issue a refund.

YOU MUST know the place that you are booking, since you chose a hostel obviously there is more noise than a hotel because we have all the common areas. It is also an old neoclassical downtown and that night the group we had happened to be a little more intense. The reception is open from 9 to 9 so we responded immediately the next morning, However we have only 5 rooms and the remaining 4 were closed. You came rudely in the morning to tell us your problem while we were polite to you.the terms of your reservation were clear for non-return. Nevertheless we told you that you can come at any time in the future you wish, obviously it is no longer valid after your behavior.To have such ratings the rest of the customers know something more. HAVE A GOOD DAY!

A delightful little place! It looks like it was decorated by someone's doting aunt (which is not everyone's preference, but I found it charming). It's definitely not one's average hostel. There were thoughtful little touches, like phone chargers and hygiene products. The staff was friendly and spoke English quite well (καλιτερα εινα, επιδι δεν μιλω καλα τα ελληνικα).

Beautiful property tucked away in the centre of Athens, everything within walking distance. Rooms were clean, bed sheets changed daily and towels provided. Locker and key provided as well as basic breakfast. Staff were really helpful before arrival, giving different options on how to get there which made me feel confident to use public transport instead of a taxi/shuttle. They were quick to reply to any problems I had, like a broken locker. I felt safe staying there.

We never actually met any of the staff and no one was there to answer questions for us. Neighborhood didn’t seem the safest. But place was clean and cute.

Absolutely impossible to find, especially in the dark. I needed the help of two generous local women to find this place. It’s on a tiny street that is completely dark. TIP: Walk TOWARDs the library and then past it once you get off at the metro station. It’s still far from the metro station. This is a house turned into ‘hostel.’ The check in people leave at 9pm and after everyone is on their own, so you’re really staying at a shared house, not a ‘hostel’. No USB outlets, I borrowed a wall plug from the other roommates. Note to hostel: please buy a power strip with USB plugs to accommodate travelers. Hot water goes in and out and there is only a bath with a shower head. TO OTHER TRAVELERS: Be mindful of other guests as they may not share your same cultural values. There was a couple talking loudly downstairs after the check-in person left, then they went upstairs and started having sex for over 30 MINUTES without fully shutting the door!! I took a whole half hot shower next to their room and they were STILL doing it!! Clearly they do not care about other guests and that someone might hear. So if you want to be a good guest and respect other guests, DON’T DO THAT. Of course, no front desk person in case of emergencies or to assist guests in this situation. I maybe got one bed bug bite on my 2nd night. There’s lockers with keys and two towels for you. Crackers and water in the kitchen for ‘breakfast’. Stairs only. Room was not crowded (I only had 1 roommate in the 6-bed room).

We have the equipment for usb outlets, but you have to ask for it. On our page when you make the reservation it is stated that there is no 24-hour reception, so every customer knows the policy of the hostel and decides if he wants to do so. As far as breakfast is included, it is available until 11 am and has a variety of products, we do not know what time you woke up and if you catch it in the times that we inform you.However, we thank you very much for your criticism, we accept your comments and try to get better, to improve them and to meet the needs of each customer.!! A very welcoming Hostel!
Lovely hostel, The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast in the morning along with all the extra bits and pieces such as sunblock, mosquito spray, first aid kit etc was very generous. Close to the city center, approx 10minute walk and super close to fantastic bars and restaurants

Brilliant!
100% recommend this hotel to anyone regardless of budget or reason to stay at during a visit to Athens. Actually is so good I should keep it’s existence to myself;-). Seriously big complement to the hotel staff: this outfit really go the extra mile to help with questions and problems not even hotel related! I can wax lyrical about this place and the surrounding district which is abundant with a wide range of great bars, restaurants, parks and only a healthy stroll in the sunshine down to the main action and all that Acropolis/ Plaka can provide!

Cute Vintage hostel
Cute and clean hostel in Athens. Easy to get around from. Friendly staff, basic breakfast. Neighbourhood has lots of grafitis but that doesn't mean it's not safe. The area is actually nice, lots of little restaurants, bakeries and bars.

Very nice stay at Athens Quinta
Great hostel. Clean, very friendly staff, free very good Wifi. Everything is very easy and practical. Chek out took me zero minute. Chek in was great: she gives you maps of the city and pieces of advice about where to eat, what to visit, etc. Breakfast: cereals, bread, jams, butter, honey, fruits, cake, tea, eggs. You can have breakfast whenever you want. It is on the table (in the kitchen) from the night before. Very practical for people leaving early. Living room + courtyard. Lockers in the room. Enough bathrooms. Close to Syntagma place (10 minutes away on foot). 30 minutes away on foot from the Acropole. I did everything on foot and did not use any public transport (except to the airport). I would come again.

Gorgeous little hostel with loads of character
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days and we couldn't have been happier with the hostel. It's in a great location that you can get to anywhere in Athens from with ease, though the local surrounding shops and cafes were all also charming. We had everything we needed at Athens Quinta and the staff were always on hand to help. We took advantage of the free provided breakfast and hot drinks: incredibly grateful for those! We will be coming again!

Nice, homey hostel with friendly staff.
I had a lovely time here at Athens Quinta, it was my first hostel stay and I felt safe and at home the whole time. The staff were lovely and friendly. It was a bit out of the city but one could walk to the metro quickly, however, coming back late at night I was glad to have someone with me and did feel a bit less safe without lots of people around. It's very close to some great sites too like The National Archaeological Museum which I would throughly recommend to anyone visiting! Lycabettus Hill is also a lovely natural site close by, and has a great view of the city.

Hostel with old world charm
This place is more a hostel than a hotel, but don't let that put you off. It's well located, yet on a really quiet street so no vehicle noise at night. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The place is full of old furniture and books etc, giving it a really lovely charm and is a wonderful place to relax. There's a private outdoor courtyard and terrace, small but a very nice environment. Then a living room with comfy chairs and an upstairs landing with seats too. It's really rather lovely and different to so many other options of places to stay.

The best things about the Athens Quinta are the charm and loveliness of the atmosphere and how friendly and welcoming the staff are. (Catherine especially was so lovely!) This was among my favorite hostels, which is high praise as I have been to many. Although I loved it overall, I have stayed many other hostels with a much nicer breakfast. There was very little variety…. Orange juice and bread with butter and marmalade. There was also hard boiled eggs, coffee or tea and some cookies… not too much. (At the start of my stay there was some milk and cereal, but it ran out and was never replaced) while this might be better than some hostels, my favorite hostels do a much better breakfast, with more food and more variety. I did appreciate that you could eat at any time in the morning as food was left out! I really liked the atmosphere of the rooms, but the beds/ bedding could be improved upon. My bed was wrapped in plastic – Maybe consider a mattress pad/protector instead? Sheets weren't the best either. The highest of praise for cleanliness, atmosphere, hospitality and security (lockers in the dorm rooms, but even if you left things out, you still feel really secure that nothing will be taken or interrupted… just that kind of place) needs improvement for bedding/ bed comfort and breakfast, and a better stocked kitchen.
